Why does everyone get compared to Nightwish? Does anyone actually realize just how many progressive/symphonic metal bands there are.Nightwish is only one of them. There is lots of room for originality. Although there are similarities among them, none are exactly alike.AND, although NW is good and a personal favorite, I know some bands that are better, some not as good, and alot about the same.We should be supportive of these bands as they support one another.Those who do not sing/play, sit down.

@pelsmann Its one huge reason why I started a TOTALLY MUSIC ARTIST CHANNEL, and a TOTALLY FEM METAL CHANNEL. The fem metal channel will end up with around 300 bands alone.On the main channel, although I have an oldschool metal playlist featured now, is overflowing with progressive, power, symphonic, and fem metal bands. We have to stop fixating on single bands and start listening to the actual genre.Music needs our support. There are MANY great bands. Enjoy them all.

I work in this industry and because all this music is blacked out in the US I decided to start a major support effort to educate people here about all of these and to support them as well. Now, with some 225 bands and artists OFFICIALLY endorsing my work, whats your actual problem with that? @TheAmaranthObsession Talk about a lie, AMARANTH was Annette Olzons work NOT TARJAS. What I had told some people WAY BACK was that Annette was not a certain to continue with NW as she was only retained for a 1 album experiment. Since they were planning a next album Tuomas was thinking of several possibilities including a possible Tarja thing. That didnt work out, Annette was glad to continue with them and all continues on. Its the way this business is, DEAL WITH IT and stop pouting.

@TheAmaranthObsession My last post was it completely. Many of us in the business were let down by the change in news. Some of us were also excited. I thought Annette Olzon was an excellent addition to NW if Tarja couldnt be there and she also deserved more than a 1 album shot. These people change news all the time and its frustrating. I stopped reporting news and started concentrating on my support channels except for Floor Jansen and Revamp. I was right about that demise. Tarja/Liv tour also.
