Yes it's a maton. The string spacing is quite narrow for a finger style guitar. I also think since the reason increase in price for maton's you should def try before you buy.

i've been playing for years and i KNOW how much effort that took to learn - WELL DONE MAN - one little thing- in my humble opinion, you've got the technique down, but maybe try and concentrate on getting the melody to sing through a little more - it tends to get a little lost in the other notes, rather than 'sitting on top' like it should.

Hi, KZ: Yes; according to a comment Phil made on his 'Beatles' video, this guitar is indeed an EBG808TE. I have read that the Maton is one of the finest in the world, handcrafted by a master luthier. If that is true, then our young protege has indeed progressed from his days with an anonymous Fender (although that instrument has a beautiful tone; check his 'Self-Portrait' and 'Angelina' videos). He also owns a beautiful black Taylor DDAE.
