  • Mollycat92,

I don't wanna be a spammer, but if this is your favourite choral piece, then you've never sang Veljo Tormis, MUWAHAHAHAHAAA!!!

  • i cried the first time i ever heard this song, but there were too many pauses in this one

  • were singing this too.

my school group is one of the best in our state.

    and age group.

    ur vowels are shaped wrong.

and ur going a bit too fast.

if i get a video of our performance in April. ill post it

  • ILOVETHISSONG

    SOMUCH

"it reminds meh of alottah stuff =("

buhh its perfection to me =D

  • I have done this several time with the choir I am in and everytime we have reduced the choir to tears. Bob chilcotts CD, can you hear me was sung by our choir. The actions you do are wrong. When we did this for Bob Chilcott and the CD he said that the way we did it was exactly as he had imagined when he was writing the song!!

  • fairi3 can you post it then i'd like to hear and see it.

when i did this with my choir our actions were like pull for mouth and point to your eye - that was what the sheet music said.

  • who wrote this?

  • Bob Chilcott

  • We're singing this piece in my local choir and I'd never heard it before.

The second I did, I fell completely in love.

  • I sang this song for All County one year. It is by far my favorite choral piece i have ever done!

  • fav vs.

  • I go to a music school where it's required to have a decent singing voice :P Last year we sang this song for 900 people with our 200 students xD It was really beatiful tho

  • it's a wonderful song it made me and my daughter want to cry

  • I'm currently learning this song in my all girls choir 7th grade. (: We're trying out for all region. This song has to be amazing, beautiful, and so captivating. I can't wait to sing it in front of a crowd.

  • Technically flawless - I love the blend in the voices, the forward resonant placement. Great work on the vocal technique!

The only thing missing is the emotional connection. I could set a metronome to this performance. There's hardly any rubato or word painting and it feels rushed. I think, had the choir slowed down and taken time performing this song, it would have made an emotional impact on the audience.

This is one of my favorite songs, so I'm ultra-critical of performances of it.

  • beautiful performance, amazing song ^^ 5 stars!

  • we sang this in primary school, it always reminds me of those days. this versions beautiful

  • Your'e probaly not going to believe me, but i just got out from a concert with him in charlotte. He conducted us and we did all of his songs like Peace Mass, Vertue, Catch a Falling Star, Time of Snow and this! He's really good!

  • Do you mean Charlotte NC? The Charlotte Children's Choir just did this song last Saturday. It is currently my favorite song. We have much to learn from this deaf child.

  • The conductor has such control. Well performed, certainly, and a gorgeous piece of music.

  • Sweet!

  • Wonderful sining, well felt legato line and wonderfulfully interpretated shape to the music. Also congratulations to the conductor on setting the youngsters up with such brilliant vowel sounds e.g Cahm you hear me? un -knowingly they will sing the same for a long time, good trainging well done :)
