In my opinion is tiesto the most overrated DJ, sure he's good but he's not that good that he'll get to play on a set like that. Armin van buuren or someone like that who've contributed more to the trance community (I started listening to trance through Astateoftrance) and have better music. But this is just a personal thought. Kinda stupid comment i know, but just wanted to get it out there :)

@Friedel88tdf Tiesto was the best some years back, like in 2004. I regret that he has left the trance scene, however still new released (last two weeks) trance from Tiesto but indeed more house oriented. I prefer Tiesto from some years back, so I agree on that one. However, it does require a lot of balls to change your style: leave your success behind you and try something different. Only the best producers can do this and therefore he has my respect.

@TranceOnJeroen2 you're totally right about the "balls":))) , almost nobody from the toptrance except Ferry Corstenor (remember L.E.F. times) could afford to flip his style like this, someday you feel you gotta expand to something more than one genre association, but as a DJ he manages to balance between house, electro, tech house ,trance and "classics" in the end building mindblowing eclectic sets, which in effect are as energetic as his 2003-4 In Conerts, I've been to KWT and I was stunned

@TranceOnJeroen2 : i don't think that current producers doesn't have a balls to change their style and leave scene where they are a gods. Lot of producers trying find out also another way and another kinds of music. Marcus Schulz as a Dakota and so on. But what is right, Tiesto did it official and he bet his trance-god name in another music. I fully agree that he had to be very brave to do it and because of that, he has my respect too. He alway will be together with Ferry in my mind Gouryella

@TranceOnJeroen2 except that tiesto isnt a producer ;) he has a whole team of audio engineers and producers, he just tells them guys. i want something slower with a touch of dutch house and they do it for him, he just gives out the ideas, all the production work is done by his team. so yes, he is the artist, but he isnt the producer.
