  • @aspersiosunil- Thanks for d reply bro........Does K&N affects on mileage?? and Which K&n should be used in ZMR?? I brought new ZMR before 3 months.... and wanna update it with K&n only for the FIRING...... What will be Ur suggestion ????

  • It says, K&n doesn't stop dust Particles....... Is it???? :0

  • @InnocentAkshayZM where did you read that? ofcourse it does! it refines the air better than any other filter! thats why its the leading filter manufacturing companies which sells its products to narcar performance vehicles!

  • hai dude.superb video.i was searching for 1 video like this.post more videos man.i also wanted to instal a k&n filter in ma zmr.did u changed engine oil and spark plug along with this.i am planing to do so.what's ur opinion

  • hey dude i installed the same K&N in my bike but 3500 -6000 there's a drop in acceleration..why is tht so??

  • @Warhammer1000RR i have pulsar 220 fuel ijected one

  • @Warhammer1000RR 3500 - 6000 RPM?

K&N and the engine take time to blend into each others performance...first 1 week even i noticed some odd performance levels...but it became normal for me later...if u have doubts...get your fuel injectors checked as they fuel to air ratio might be wrong by miliseconds!

  • @aspersiosunil thank you :)

  • Doesn't this need rejetting or ECU remapping of some kind (as in the carburetted versions)? The fuel intake is defined or programmed for the stock air filter. Now with more air intake and same fuel-inflow, your mixture will be leaner. Mileage will increase but there will be whitish deposits on ur spark plugs very soon. Someone knowledgeable about these things can probably comment?

  • @farhadtarapore sorry have no comments related to whitish deposits on the sparkplugs but about ECU remap i have done remapping for max power...for a different reason not cuz of K&N installing...and also i use zmr less as i have a gsx-r 600 now!

  • K hw much did it cost n does it affect the mileage or sumthng?

  • n how much top speed did u achieve after this?

  • @jose9124u K&N does not affect the top speed bar...just pick up...no difference in top speed i still touch 128 on smooth plain road with no hassle!

  • nice R1060 a gud one to install

  • @naiyu1981 yep! :D

  • maa chod di bike ki orignality ki huh

  • @SuperGhostriderr No all mods are reversible!

  • @aspersiosunil k nice

  • @aspersiosunil they are reversible i too did the same thing earlier

but now im running on a stock rtr 180\

  • which model K &N filter is used in this ZMR????????

  • @4uthomas K&N R1060

  • the air filter is on the other side of the bike.you mean to say that it has 2 air filters. i have a zmr too n i replaced the air filter which is on the other side.im confused

  • @akavishwadeep The other side of the filter is a mat like thing! flat in shape right? that is the air intake place....the point where we put our Air filter is right at the main point...there arent exactly two air filters....but the point where i put the K&N gives more out...thats what i have heard!

  • Finally, a performance mod for the ZMR! Much appreciated! I tried calling some numbers but everyone is asking for around 2800 INR here in Mumbai (Planet DSG sells this for 2490 INR). Your 1850 seems quite reasonable, where'd you get it from? Cheers.

  • @saadeteensau hey man thanks for the comment! made my day! from here i got it from dream bikes in camp dude...i think its for 2000 RS (INR) but i knew the dude so got it a little cheaper....but if you are getting the filter for 2500 or so then go for it...provided in the box you should receive Filter,Free oil pouch, K&N sticker , How-To guide on DIY! good luck!

  • @aspersiosunil Just fit this. Man the transformation is jaw dropping! Although the sound can get a little embarassing sometimes (I'm that kind of guy!). My friends in Pune picked it up from Planet DSG btw. Kudos and thanks for posting this. Now to look for an HID kit and an ECU remap!

  • @saadeteensau yes the performance is amazing but do rejet the bike ok?? for optimum performance! about the HID do you want a DIY vid or what? and ECU remap what r u looking for? power? short burst? average?

  • @aspersiosunil I really think the ZMR is underpowered, and could do with better bottom end grunt. The only way I see this happening is an ECU remap, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. a DIY HID would be quite useful, one of two gripes (lack of power being one) I have with this bike is the lighting, the stock bulbs just dont have enough throw and spread.

  • @aspersiosunil I sincerely feel the ZMR is underpowered, and lacks bottom end grunt. The only way I think this can be remedied is by a ECU remap, keeping the stock ECU as is though. Does that seem reasonable or is there another way out? The *other* gripe I have the stock lighting. Man they are hopeless and lack both distance throw and lateral spread. Hence the HID query. A DIY would be cool though, yeah.

  • @saadeteensau yes mate...ZMR sure is underpowered..only 1 bhp difference from the ZMA-R....bitter disappointment i must say...you can remap the ECU with some technician who works with superbikes...here in pune theres a man who services superbikes he might just tune the bike for you but these indians bike do not offer much opening for a upgrade...so i dunno if it will help you...but yes if you do Remap it then let me know! and about the DIY its really simple dude...cn be done w/o openin d fairing

  • @aspersiosunil A little confused about your earlier comment. You mention rejetting the bike, I'm not sure I understand what that means on an FI bike. In my carburetted RD, I had to upjet when I installed UNI filters, but whats the context here?

  • @saadeteensau people keep saying you are suppose 2 rejet and stuff! i din do it though ! lol...

  • finally after completing 8000km on my ZMR ... and installed Pipercross Air filter it sound better den dis...

  • @The3inStein Good for you mate...Do post a Video or a review about it!

  • heyy nice brother...hw much cost for this k and n..and for fittings..i have re zmr....i like to fit this

  • @renjithzmr K&N R1100 for 1850. Fitting Rs. 50 from any garage.

  • Is there any increase in sound or same ? Which model k&n did u fit ?

  • thanks dude for ur reply.......i ll post it here asa i fitted it ......

  • hi , how abt the pick up .....? if u r accelerating suddenly is it going well or lacking fuel flow.....?pls give ur opinion . As in my zmr i completed 2nd service and only a few kms for the third one.

  • @karthick3030 hey thanks for watching! when you open full throttle for max pick up, obviously the average meter shows krappy average figures! but the fuel flow is never lacked/obstructed, it works fine with full flow!

our bike has computerized fuel injection (PGMF-i = programmed fuel injection) which helps in a good engine performace! as per my opinion....if you are used to your normal acceleration and need more power then go for it! we have two ZMRs in our group and when we race...K&N wins!

  • This is the first video about K&N in ZMR!

Thanks for posting man! i was thinking of putting one in my bike but was afraid that if i buy one and after fitting if i dont like the sound...

    but it sounds brilliant!

    thanks!

  • @SelfHatingNarcissist Glad you liked it! :) and it sounds even better in reality! if the bike is new then complete about 5000-6000 KMS (3rd servicing) and then fit it!
