I think the menu at 2:13 can only be accessed through "Spore: Creature Creator" as it's not on the main game as you may have found out. Or it's on a creator of some kind but it's not the original released "Spore" unfortunately. But you can access a similar menu on the main game by clicking on the creator button below the play button at the main screen with the galaxy spinning.

the one you download off the site doesn't have all the parts is the trial version. But you can buy the full version at your wal-mart store that has all the parts.

No I haven't even pre-ordered it XD The creature editor becomes down loadable for everyone on June 17th (1/4 of it for free, the whole thing for 9.99).

The reason they're releasing it before the game is, is so that they can actually have creatures for the spore world to populate with, so that when the game comes out everyone doesn't have the same creatures that the spore designers made -- but actually the creatures that came from everyone else.

Making creatures from media on Spore is like making Master Cheifs helmet with legos, forging the Master Sword, or simply sculpting Kirby. It's part of it's appeal. People enjoy seeing things normally seen in one form of entertainment in another. This is like character crossovers on shows or "guest apperances". So, it's ok to make creatures from the media. There's my two cents.
