The best thing about this video is that Russel Brand truly is a genius, he just chooses not to show! The fact he does not care at all what people think of him is an aspect of his personality many people endeavour.
english smackrat..goes to work dressed as ozama binladen the day after 9/11..then has the audacity to go to america and expect to be embrassed by americans...has any one told this smackrat how many americans died on 9/11...
that's not what we think at all! I think most Americans who've encountered Russell on tv or on the streets of L.A. find him to be an admirable, kind, funny, and very sexy Englishman. I think his notority will continute to grow and he'll be a world mega star soon enough
Perhaps I've been living in America too long, but I find his mental tangents to be a breath of fresh air. There is a certain amount of intellectualism needed to allow his brain to function this way. Anyway, I was at this show - it was very funny.
Spouting basic criticisms of neoliberalism and throwing in some panentheistic beliefs doesn't make Russell an intellectual, he'd be the first to say it. He knows a little about lots of things. Intellectuals are far more deeply involved.
Oooh, "panentheistic". Big scrabble points for you. (PS - You are right about Russell. People who think he's an intellectual comedian should listen to Jonathan Miller being interviewed.)
why are they laughing?

@Alkhemist10 Notice the ones laughing are woman. They will laugh at anything. Probably just sexually aroused giggling.

Russell is just fantastic! I love how he gave that little smirk at the end as if to bring the audience back to the comedy.

Who can say British Bill Hicks?
disdanic 3 years ago 5
Bill Hicks was a genius, my personal favorite. Russell is extremely talented, and refreshing to see.

Exactly. I think it's a very conscious imitation. But I don't mind, cause Russell really is such an incredibly unique and entertaining man.

In moments like this, he really sounds like late-period Bill Hicks.
