Alot wrong here. First what era are you talking about. First time I saw them (pre Smells like teen spirit) and I had my elbows on the stage, he was playing the Jaguar and a couple of Strats. Very simple set up. Boss tuner, Small Clone, Boss Turbo Overdrive into aFender Twin. That's it and it was loud. Later for larger venue he was using I believe the same pedals into a Mesa .22 Preamp into Crown power amps into 6 4x12 Marshall cabs. NEVER PLAYED A JAGSTANG. He died before they came out.

Wow, this information is, like, completely wrong. First off, Kurt had a Marshall micro-stack on stage sometimes, but NEVER PLAYED IT. He had it up there as a joking reference to how he killed all the Marshall-stack-playing hair metal bands! Second, Kurt used a Fender Jaguar just as much as his Mustangs, and he rarely ever played Jag-Stangs, even though he DID design it. The MesaBoogie head was only a preamp, not a whole amp head; and even some of the effects are wrong!! Research, guys! Research!
