@josephmegahee The Motorola Xoom Family Edition came out on the 16th, and the ASUS Transformer 2 should be coming out in November. The Xoom is essentially a reskin of the existing Xoom with an IPS screen and cheaper price. The ASUS Transformer 2 was just announced, and will be the first device to utilize the nVidia Tegra 3 Kal El Quad Core chipset. There are no good pictures up yet, but there is a promo video floating around if you want to look into it.

That is not politically correct. The nvidia tegra 250 is not (just) a processor. While it contains the central processing unit, the tegra 250 is the is the name of the entire chipset, otherwise known as the "System on a chip". The "SoC" contains the CPU, GPU, and respective memory caches, and univerally, may also include the RAM. The actual processor on the tegra 250 are two ARM Cortex A9 cores in dual core configuration.

The camera swivels around the bezel edge, so it can act as both a front facing, and rear facing camera (as well as all other angles in between)

The Galaxy Tab 10.1 that had the 8 MP camera was a preproduction model that was previewed at MWC in February. However, after the release of the iPad 2, Samsung reintroduced a new 10.1" tab at CITA in March which was thinner and lighter, with the cost of dropping the 8 MP camera to a 3.2 MP one. The older tab is only available in limited quantities in the UK, called the "Galaxy Tab 10.1v". The 'real' tab (simply called the "Galaxy Tab 10.1") is the one described in this video.

I would never want a tablet. I mean, tablets are almost just like today's smartphones...just bigger..cause if you buy everything and all, a smarphone can do all of that...hmm...maybe not that fast (but still!!). I don't know...just a waste of money.

Everyone's entitled to their opinion. Tablets fulfill a very specialized niche in terms of mobile usability, and thus, if you see no useful application for buying a tablet, you're probably right--only you can know what's best for you. At the same time however, there are people that need more screen real estate than what a mobile phone can offer, with better mobility than what a laptop or netbook can offer. These are the people the tablet market caters to.

Battery life is pretty difficult to compare, especially before the device hits the market. Many of these tablets have yet to come out, so we can only trust the battery life estimates the company gives us (which 99% of the time is incorrect). For the ones have have been released, googling third party reviews can give you a good idea. Of the listed tablets, the ipad definitely has the best battery life, followed by the xoom

Notion ink adam. It is the best bang for the buck. It's hardware is similar to the Xoom's but costs only $327. However, you should wait till the summer to get it.

ipad is always a solid choice, but can be limiting depending on how you plan to use it. Android 3.0 is an excellent platform although it does have it's drawbacks. Most of these tablets fall into similar price ranges.

Should be added that the Asus Transformers weight is only 1.5lb without the keyboard. With the keyboard connected i think it will be more than 1.98lb.
