To me Alexei was always an artist. Sure his jumps were top notch but it was always the artistry behind it that made him the incredible skater that he was. This program isn't bad but compared to later Yagudin programs it doesn't register a blip on the radar. But for a 16 year old!!! Wow!

The switch from Mishin to Tarasova was the right step. Tarasova's cheorography is second to none.

he was always a wonderful dancer. i absolutely loved to see him perform on the ice. really miss him in the championships and olympics.
