Remember when you buy yor first cell phone, was big ugly, and in a short time what do we have now.iphones, galaxis etc spage age cellphones.and your TV, ugly, black and white and now, wow.Evs are going to be the same in very short years,500 miles per charge beautiful cars, space age vehicles.Be positive .by the way our body works with electricity not gasoline.
Any chance the battery can be removed easily? Instead of a Gas Station, we will see Electric Battery Rental Stations. Let the electric stations recharge for 12 hrs. $8 for the recharge fee. Of course the quality of battery will be better at some stations than others! ;)
So basically these little things are only good for INtown uses and NOT for traveling long distances. but they seem like they'd be a great car for college students who live near their school.
About the only market for something like this are certain companies or municipalities trying to make a "green" statement. I doubt many consumers will buy one. Mitsubishi needs to concentrate on upgrading its traditional lineup. I've got a 2010 Lancer Sportback that I really like, but Mitsubishi has nothing on the horizon beyond this car for the US market. Their market share is already so tiny (Nissan sells 10 times more cars here) and this car isn't going to help.
@Jeffredo729 I agree. I own a 03 Mitsubishi Eclipse and I can't understand what the heck is mitsubishi doing or expecting to do with this car. It's not easy to convince people to buy the Nissan Leaf, tell me who the hell is going to buy this? I think Mitsubishi should concentrate on improving its current cars, and it's really sad how they'd rather make this car than keep the Eclipse (they're stopping production of the Eclipse)
@datpimpinboy They definitely need a new Accord/Camry sized replacement for the old Galant and a redesigned Eclipse (instead of discontinuing both with no replacement along with the Endeavor). They need to bring the Colt to the US and bring out a new Lancer quickly as well. If they don't flesh out their line up soon dealerships and franchise will close and that worries me. The only one for me is in Sacramento and if it closes I'd have to drive to the Bay Area for service.
@Jeffredo729 Agreed, I just don know how it's possible that the same company that designs the badass looking Lancer comes up with this. Mitsubishi could very easily make their brand sell more, just like Hyundai did. If they make replacements for their current cars, make them good looking and reliable, they still have game to play. But by quitting with their most popular cars (Eclipse, Galant, and they were gonna stop the Lancer EVO) and bringing this, their future seems very ehhh...
"Real" world driving is when people turn up the AC during 95 degree weather or the heater on 20 degree winters. Do a test that way and show us "actual" range.
People need to realize that these electric cars should only be used for the work commute and the inner city driving type things i think we should use these kinda cars like our daily commuters ideally itd be great if these cars were cheap, and we could keep are gas cars for the leisure things like going for road trips or weekend drives. kinda like how we replaced the horse and carraige with the car now horses are ridin for fun or raced, its what we should do for gas cars too
@supersin22 also, the car companies were forced to build these electric cars. the us gov. said that car corporations need to start building electric cars in order to do business in the country, so the companies did so. they could have built an awesome ass electric car, but they just didnt really care to much and didnt invest enough money into it. thats why electric cars still suck today
"Excellent visibility" WTF this car is a bit hard to reverse. IMHO.

@Jeffredo729, maybe, we should write to Mitsubishi Motors North America to get them to keep the Eclipse.
