Let me ask you two questions:1.why America destoried Japan's economy in 80s last century?? 2. When Russia turn from communist to democracy, why western world still treat them as a threat??? The USA never destroyed Japan's economy. Russia even though it's not communist anymore, It is still not fully acceptable in Europe and America because of their behaviour.

Never forget even South Korea, Taiwan, Singapore all came from sorts of military dictatorship in the past before they progressed.
Even Japan, it was under a militaristic imperial rule before world war 2!
And Dictatorship had proven itself to be effective in Asia to serve as a start up foundation for development.
Though ofcourse a corrupt and ineffective dictatorship will lead to down fall. Like what happen to my country b4!

@britainmal Unfortunately Portugal has abandoned colonial system in 1975 after a revolution there.
You may remember Angloa, and nearly all other Portuguese colonies suddenly went independent back in 1975 without any warning any Portuguese settlers and loyalists who were then forced out back home.
Macau almost returned to China in that year but new Portuguese government realised that the people there were fearful of Communist rule so delayed return to China until 1999.

Uma coisa é certa, não é Portugal que têm 450 mil ciganos, nem é Portugal que tem como símbolo nacional uma dança cigana. Também não é a Portugal que chegam centenas de marroquinos por dia, nem era o ditador português que parecia um libanês e que tinha uma guarda de honra designada por Guarda Moura.

A ver ignorante, si llegan tantos moros a España es por la maldita permisividad de nuestro Gobierno y porque somos la puerta geográfica de Europa. Por último, Franco tenía la Guardia Mora como recuerdo de la Guerra de Marruecos. La conservó hasta 1956, cuando España conceció la independencia al Protectorado de Marruecos. También el emperador Augusto tenía una guardia personal de calagurritanos y eso no le hacía celtíbero. Si rompes el silencio, intenta mejorarlo, hazme el favor.

Cierto es, y como la mayoría de los portugueses se oponían a la entronización de Felipe II como rey, en mi pueblo se llama invasión de tropas. En ningún momento he dicho que España invadiera Portugal, que es diferente. De hecho durante los 60 años de la unión los reyes de España (y de Portugal) respetaron que en las colonias lusas solo pudieran emigrar y ostentar cargos oficiales los portugueses. Saludos.

A verdade é ao contrário, ou seja, infelizmente a maioria do povo português (íncluíndo a burguesia e a aristocracia endinheirada) apoiou Felipe, de tal maneira que D. António teve de se refugiar na ilha Terceira (Açores) e teve de contratar mercenários franceses devido ao fraco apoio que tinha por parte do exército português.

Cierto es que perdimos la guerra contra Portugal en 1640-1668. Pero también es cierto que al mismo tiempo combatíamos en la Guerra de los Treinta Años, contra Francia e Inglaterra, mientras que Portugal pudo concentrarse prácticamente en expulsar a los españoles. De todos modos no sé a santo de qué viene tanta comparación y odio hacia España.

O certo é que a partir de 1648 a guerra dos trinta anos tinha acabado, e a Espanha pôde-se virar completamente contra nós, perdendo a guerra. Quanto a Espanha, não tenho qualquer ódio, vocês é que têm o estranho hábito de virem arrotar postas de pescada nos vídeos sobre Portugal.

En 1648 acabó la Guerra de los Treinta Años, pero la guerra contra Francia duró hasta 1659. Contra Inglaterra hubo la guerra de 1655-1660 y la guerra de Cataluña acabó en 1652. Así que no digas tonterías. Los que estáis obsesionados sois los portugueses. En España apenas nos fijamos en lo que hacéis o dejáis de hacer.

Macau was a concession by the Chinese for the Portuguese maintained Chinese waters free from the pirates. But some Chinese dont want to admit that. Maybe in future they want again our help, and in that time we want Macau for ever! And for those who dont believe. Dont say ever!

The Macau chinese are so patriotic then sometimes "blind minded". Macau was never invaded by japanese but doesn't mean nothing. Mainly the chinese people here was born or grown up exactly in their motherland, not like HK.
I don't know if you ever hear before 12-3 incident, if you really heard this, i am sure you will not make this comment.
And don't forget also, some chinese people here are the descendant of refugee of WWII, their past are share to every generation.

I told these 2 stories to my mother then she said me chinese girl is the best and the japanese are untrustful and worse.
About the case of ringtone not only my parents warn me, my brother and my grandfather(which has patriotic fever) told me the same, just because my company president is chinese, so let's to be smarter.
Don't be so ignorant, our community has a lot of family with japanese trace, then hidden to ignore this reality just to put their descendant surviving on this Macau society.

Cont. as i understand, she want to asking me why my name is not chinese, as so long as the europeans' names. But lately i ignore her and along the time she was starring at me without any shame when i was the table. The 2nd time was in the Macau-HK terminal there's 2 japanese girl sitting beside me when i was filling immigration sheet, then 1 of them seeing it which my name printed on it already, then the problem happened again, starred at me face to face then almost collided.

It is sad to know that Macau people don't like Portugal... :( I was so sad during the Handover, I cried when I saw the flag of Portugal going down that day it marked the end of the Portuguese Empire and the end of almost 600 years of Portuguese Discoveries! You should do what your heart says and not follow the stupid patriotism that China is living nowadays. Don't never forget that you are macanese and not chinese, you don't have nothing to do with what is happening in China, Macau is just part of China Territory but, in fact, Macau is free to have is own laws and admistration whatsoever! Japan never attacked Macau (Portugal, when that happened), so there is no reason for that hate in Macau!

In fact this story is not completely "real" as what i said, i mean was not 1 time but was 2 times(happy now?). 1st time was exactly in Tokyo, a Ice cream shop girl saw my ID card from my wallet when i was paying, then she speaking japanese, which i don't get it too much. Then she is pointing on the HK tourists.

Cheow, since the start of Portugal's World expansion, just wish to create a multi-ethnical and cultural power nation.
About the Macau, since the handover then lots of US casinos appeared, the foreign people are ruling under the management of all the industry. Like the same of previous millenium, the White people are going on exploitation of Yellow races, worse as dogs.
The only thing we should do is to thank the executive chief of Macau "crappy democratic" Government.

In the spirit of colonial diengagement maybe the Han chinese should leave TIBET! At least those millions of cruel and abusive Portugese left Macau! Give me a break. Although I agree colonialism should end everywhere I am amazed at the interesting fusion of Portugese and Chinese culture. Macau looks like it prospered under Portugese influence.

Triste, sem dúvida. Mas sobretudo me parecem mais lágrimas ditadas pela frustração de nada poder fazer para evitar a tristeza. E não são apenas os rostos "ocidentais" que o mostram, muitos rostos "orientais" também mostram bem o que lhes vai na alma. Mas os macaenses, os portugueses luso-chineses de Macau resistirão e, com eles, a alma da lusofonia permanecerá em Macau.
