WCFL went through a bunch of format changes over the years. I remember well when they started playing Top Forty in the spring of 1965 and lasted until 3/15/76. Is that a QSL card they sent you?
This creeps me out in a good way--because I heard THIS EXACT BROADCAST 25 years ago. I remember it being 1/86 (freshman in HS), middle of the night, Chicago suburbs, didn't normally listen to WCFL, and this was the first time I heard "Silent Weeper" so it left an impression on me--I distinctly remember the LaGrange Baptist Church promo afterward! What are the odds that someone else not only heard this, but recorded it and put it on YouTube?!? Wow. Thanks SO much for posting!
@4agreements, that is amazing. And even more amazing that I recorded it from a thousand miles away. It was cold (16 degrees) and icy and snow outside in the night here.
It's off Angie Lewis' Heartdance album from 1985. My tape died but I bought the LP on Ebay a couple of years ago in pristine condition. From there it was easy as heck to rip to mp3 on a new $150 turntable. Same for Ideola.
