@harusakurapetals Not just Zooey. I wish people would get it right. M. Ward is just as big a part of the equation as Zooey is. In fact, I'd say he's where the talent lies here. (: He's got the better stage presence, the actual musical talent. Zooey's voice is wonderful, but if you listen to M. Ward. His music is much more complex, interesting and beautiful. Not only does that insult Matt as a musician, who would never choose a musical partner based on that, but it insults her talents. MOST of these gems are her songs from her own demos. Ward enjoyed them and wanted to help her. They compose them together: entirely a team effort.
@Korynnn yup, I saw them collaborate in the movie The Go-Getter, that's where they met and I listened to M.Ward before that, she has a nice voice though :)
@Korynnn I think Matt is intentionally emulating the whole "guitarist with mystique" thing. If he were right up there with Zooey all the time, he wouldn't be half as cool. Its just the dynamic of the group. Nonetheless, they're both awesome people.

I don't know why people get offended by getting into artist through TV shows, or movies, etc. I love finding out about artist I like anyway I can. There are artist I know about before I hear them on a show or movie, but just because that was not the case this time does not make them any less great. I checked out their amazing album because of this track I heard on My Life As Liz, not just because of the show, but because I genuinely liked the song. We all learn about things differently. : )
@malysse1029 Yea I know, I'm actually glad the bands I listen to get on t.v. shows, because they deserve to be popular. But I do get kind of annoyed when every one keeps saying "OMG I HEARD THIS ON ______!!!!! THUMBS UP IF YOU DID TOO:D" but I just ignore that:)
