I find it hard to imagine what might be "personal freedom" for an unemployed who is hungry and not able to find job. True freedom is only where the exploitation is destroyed, where is no oppression of man by man, where no unemployment and poverty, where people do not tremble that tomorrow thay may lose their jobs, housing and bread. I think communism can work as written, but only for small communities, not in superstates we have now. But, after setting up a stable and secure socialist system, gradual movement to smaller units that employ true communism could be possible, and just maintain unity as a sort of coalition of smaller communist states. СССР была практически разорена после 1945 года, 10 лет она восстанавливалась. Еще через 15 лет, страна производила все. (И мебель и виниловые проигрыватели и ракеты и многое другое) СССР дал квартиры всем рабочим. Каждый рабочий в 1975 году, имел квартиру, мебель, телевизор, еду...
СССР давал сильнейшее высшее образование.
Страна была не идеальна, но она обеспечила жизнь обычным крестьянам.

It was the sacrifice of millions of patriotic Russians that helped to push off the axis powers.
