My question is, what boarding facility doesn't carry bute? And also did not notice both of her cuts bringing her in. My horse would have been yanked from that place after the first one.
sometimes even the littlest things can cause a big problem! my 9 yr old mare layed down and rolled on something and hurt her thigh! its just a big not and tender! but you need to be very careful! when giving a horse bute when they are in pain, because if they are not in a stall when you give it to them sometimes when that pain is relifed by the bute they can over exert them selfes and then get hurt even more! and just an FYI my 11yr old gelding had proud flesf on his cannon and it got a little..
bigger then golfball size, and none of the treatments the vet gave us worked!! so a good friend of mine and familys does massage therpy for horses and she preformed a photon (fo-ton*) treatment, if you google it you can see how it works, she did that once a day for 30 mins for 3 weeks and the hair was already coming back! just look it up ! and i hope april is better! keep up the good work hun it always pays off! Wow, poor girl! My gelding, Scooter, got his back leg torn open about three months ago. We searched his stall and run out and didn't find anything, it's healed up really nice though, there's just a couple little scars now! I guess horses are just spazzy :P
@horselover1773.. That's horrible too! I just hated it even more when we didn't know how she did it, ya know?! And he was in a stall.. that's soo weird! Glad he's all healed and okay :) April is much better!

LOL, horses will hurt themselves in a padded room! Neither of those injuries were that bad- glad she healed well!
