I pitty you man..you are like the religious fanatics seeking the face of jesus christ on overly burned toasts..by the way, Picasso was a mediocre painter, lucky enough to exist during a time, when art became a stock market speculation rather than beauty and harmony. He misused it and was highly successful at it, similar to other con-artists like Andy Warhol, Miro, Kandinsky, Pollock etc. In the near future, history will absolve this fraud once and for all!
@vaporizer08 Because of advances in science we can now prove the fraud which was Picasso. Here's what happened: Prior to the inventention of printing press, 1460ish, art served 1 of 2 functions. No books means the masses couldn't read. Artists painted murals to teach lessons to the masses, and decorate churches. The rich paid artists to paint their portraits, and decorate houses. Until Renaissance, art was not a noble art, as:"Painters were still a part of the artisan class." The 'fine arts'...
@vaporizer08 were science, music and math, as:"The noble arts were scientific examination - mathematics, (and) musicians." Then, in 1480, Leonardo da Vinci produced 'one' picture: The Annunciation, which is a mathematical, and scientifically, verifiable visual musical equivalent, as was explained by Leonardo:"Here no one hazards guesses as to whether two threes makes more or less than six." Thi spicture also contains 'syntax,' and which is the 'thing' that transformed art into 'Art.' Science...
@vaporizer08 now confirms the fact that this syntax is the definition of intelligence and reality, as"The equivalent of the machine language of the brain is field configurations - The mind contains only so many visions; four recurrent geometrical forms - Life is patterns in space/time (not) physical things - Einstein replaced Newton's space with a network of light beams." This literal visual musical equivalent, and pictorial syntax, is equivalent to visual musical notation, and math 'language'..
@vaporizer08 The problem was, and is, in 1480 there were no mass communicative processes, so some knew he had done it, but they did not know what exactly 'it' was/is.Without the syntax - and language/music, art reverted back to its previous functions: tell stories to masses and portraits for the wealthy. Also, without the mathematical syntax and music, pictures: murals, were/are the equivalent to 'movies.' In 1880 photography, and real movies, were invented, but only with black and white film...
@vaporizer08 Also, in 1880 was the industrial revolution, and the epidemic of the nouveau riche. So, now, art was presented with a problem. In that the common masses could, now, have acces to some 'thing': 'art,' which, previously, only the rich could afford, because of movies and photos. So, some worldly con-artists saw an oppurtunity to capitalize on some easily impressionable people: nouveau riche. This is what the con-artists said:"You see, in photos and movies - the 'art' which the masses..
@vaporizer08 now have access to, there is an accurate representation of 'reality,' but only in 'black and white,' and devoid of color. In the old-world murals there is color but it is representational of 'reality.' So, if you: the newly rich, buy some of these (ridiculous) pure color - and exactly non-humanistic/representational, pictures, you can have some 'thing' that niether the common man masses nor the old-world aristocracy have, and then you can 'prove' you are 'better' - and more...
@vaporizer08 sophisticated and intelligent, than the entire rest of the world - by simply buying these things." So, the scientific fact is there has never been anything more asinine - more ridiculous and ludicrous, than impressionable people blindly believing that a 2-D Cubist thing is a representation of genius: because there simply is no such thing as a 2-D Cubist thing in 4-D reality. That is also the reason some believe that Cubism is genius. Because the con-artists make a correlation to...
@vaporizer08 quantum mechanics, and Einstein's relativity, as:"They wanted to introduce the concept of relativity, a Cubist painting is painted from many different viewpoints simultaneously." This is ridiculous, and an example of a little knowledge being a dangerous thing. As there is, exactly, no such thing as a 3-D mass: human, experiencing a quantum leap: from point A to pont B, or being at both points A and B simultaneously. In addition, any 9th grade physics student knows that the 4th...
@vaporizer08 dimension is the definition of a space/time continuum, with the 4th D being the 'continuum': a defined non-tangible form 'structure,' analogous to a 3-D 'house,' with the 3-D volumes of 'space' being formed by applying the function of 4-D 'time' - within the 'structure' of 'space/time.' And there simply are no 3-D volumes of 'space' in any 2-D Cubist pictures. and so, there simply is not even a representation of the 3rd dimension in any ridiculous 2-D Cubist pictures, let alone...
@vaporizer08 the 4th dimension of 'time.' In addition, we can now know, for a fact, that not only is a Cubist picture not a representation of the 4th D, but they are actually a representation of a:"Black hole: At the center of a black hole lies a singularity - Here it is no longer meaningful to speak of space and time, much less space/time" - literal 'black hole' - a 'place' where there is no 3-D space or 4-D time: the black holes that could stand in front of a 'Cubist picture.' There is more.
what? picasso was a genius, but that has almost NOTHING to do with the subject matter of his paintings... the fact that there is a city view and a pomegranate present is subordinate to the general arrangement of color and form. picasso removed the emphasis of painting from deciphering the forms
The dual meaning of the word "Grenade" in French is made intentionally ambiguous, referencing either a landscape of Granada or a pomegranate. Picasso subverts our ability to use language to see, by using forms to indicate the shortcomings of language. In analytical cubism, Picasso demonstrates how visuality can be represented in a language of analyzed shapes. In synthetic cubism, Picasso demonstrates how language has it's own visuality, because it is ultimately a system of signs as well.
This painting is the first one to show properties of synthetic cubism, during the transition away from analytic cubism. Therefore, it is of huge significance as a work, whereas it had previously been overlooked. This was the subject of my senior thesis at Harvard.
wow....Picasso was laughing all the way to the back at you sheep.

So cubism's about puns? I really can't understand what it means, or how it works.
