  • boring

  • Awesome!!!

  • Insanely awesome

  • It's a ripoff of Fripp's playing on albums like Scary Monsters and The First Day.

Not that I care but it's rude to steal from the person who gave you your first and only shot.

  • @dancoleman2

Well, if you cared a little bit you'd known that Robert has been Trey's teacher for a number of years too and to be influenced by your teachers is the most natural thing in the world

  • @CarryingNoCross I know Trey Gunn was a student of Fripp. But there's a big difference between imitation and influence. Also depends on who wrote the piece being performed here.

  • Either Trey hits some crazy double stops here, or he's got a pitch shifter with a very dissonant interval going on. I can never quite make out which one though.

  • @JerGanrit It's a pitch shifter playing a minor second I think.

  • I can see how people would find this horrible, but personally I love the atonality and randomness of it. It's very disconcerting, and in that regard, if you don't like it, then I'd say he's doing his job. lol

  • @rockster07 i got you man!

  • wut kinda of guitar solo is this

  • am i the only one with ears.. thinking.. woah.. this sucks so much?

  • @staubfc yeah, what's so bad about it? seeing your list, i don't feel bad liking it. not crazy about foo fighters either.

  • @swans1997 what. an. ass

  • @swans1997 a reply to a 4 month old comment! stupid troll

  • @staubfc from one, to another i guess. don't want to answer or offer your opinion, just be a schmuck.

  • Yeah! This is the stuff

  • Personally, I think this sounds really cool. But to be completely honest, this isn't exactly a mainstream type act, so I could see where the people who don't enjoy it are coming from.

  • trey is a monster, he almost puts tony levin to shame

  • @maxinedal Levin is a bassist, gunn is a warr guitarist. Big difference.

  • the question is, does he need a 5k dollars instrument for playin that? the answer is no.

  • @milezkkk do you know how difficult is to play warr guitar? I supose you don't have a clue. You can see it in Trey's fingers, it's a whole different technique. I think his playing is superb. I like the dissonant sound.

It's not atonal, like some people's saying.

  • where is this from, and can I have more please?

  • Gunn rules!!

  • I'm sorry, the guitar is cool and all, but that playing was horrendous. I agree, I'd like to see Buckethead shred on this guitar!

  • @TheNonAntiAnarchist He plays with a lot of feeling. I think he played with too much feeling which is the problem.

  • @TheNonAntiAnarchist so, to be a really good guitarist, you have to SHRED all the time? Get a clue, not to mention, an imagination. Metal heads going on about technique and blah blah blah, is so much water off a ducks back. If I want to learn technique, I'll go with Julian Bream or McLaughlin.

  • whoa!!

  • I saw ProjeKct 3 in Vancouver in 1998. A most awesome experience it was.

  • @milezkkk Um, do you suppose he got rich because he doesn't know how to play a Warr guitar and that he plays so badly? Yes, of course, bad playing makes lots of people rich. I'm certain you're a WAY better player than this "monkey" Trey Gunn, which qualifies you to post such drivel.

  • @milezkkk somebodies upset over what kind of instrument another man plays -.-

  • is it a regular guitar and a bass guitar put side by side?

  • Only whished the video was longer...

  • imagine if buckethead played on a war guitar

  • wow, way balzier than a chapman stick. but the stick is so much funkier

  • This is a improv (everything on ProjeKct 3 was) called "Masque 5".

  • Trey....let's play!

  • what song? or is it an improv?

  • The guys in King Crimson tend to have a lot of dissonant and "off-kilter" sounding songs, so it makes sense that they would like improvising in the same way. That is, if you were saying the way it sounded was sloppy or something like that. I would imagine it's quite calculated (as much as improv can be :P )

  • does somebody know how much costs a guitar like that that ?

  • like 3grand at the very least

  • $3800+, they are hand made so yeah...

  • Try gunn is amazing .How many hrs a day do think he practices, to be that good!.

  • Trey Gunn is awesome

  • "Filth and pestilence, those pesky digits will not leave that hahaharmoniser alone..."
