  • meh -> short rom + wide grip + behind neck = high repetitions.

  • @shmuck50

Endurance : Low weight high reps

    Power: High weight low reps

  • no chin up its wide grip pull ups :P

  • that is impressive! nicely done bro!

  • when he gets to his last four, that's like how I am... although in the front - I don't think I can do over-the-head pull-ups! super-impressive, Maurice :)

  • he's missin' that full range of motion. just saying. impressive nonetheless!

  • why are there always just those few assholes on every youtube video that have to comment dumbshit? if it werent for youtube half of you wouldnt even know wtf a pullup looked like.

  • @0587dave Hey! I did a pullup... Once...

  • @0587dave I noticed that those who don't do, criticize, while those that work hard either offer encouragement or ask meaningful questions.

  • Shitty form, fucking up his shoulders with the bar behind his head. This guy sucks at pull ups, I bet he can't even do 10 real pull ups with good form.

  • @schuldineristheman

Can you do 10 pull ups with good form?

  • so damn strong

  • is that supos2 b impressive?

  • your spellings not- but on account 2.5 of america can't do it, so yeah pretty much :)

  • Bet he was dying to get 40,lol!

  • Someone speaks russian on the background :)

  • u should have stated that they were behind the neck.. i was expecting you to explode 39 pullups above the chin.. its still impressive though

  • He did state they were to the back, read the description.

  • 20 clean cut be better

  • 150% of the bodyweight on the bench press is considered good. 200% on the bench is considered excellent. And im refering to 1RM here. 150% on the bench for 10 reps is close to 200% i suppose. I dont know where people come up with weird numbers now like 150% for a 1RM on the bench is considered ok for an average guy. An average guy cant even bench his own body weight. Most cant even do half of their bodyweight the first time. I've seen many 90 kg man struggling on bench presses with 40-60 kg,

  • Weight does matter in pullups.... but the more weight then the harder the reps thus you dont have to do as many reps to actually gaun muscle cus your heavy, xD

  • is there any benefit to fully extending your arms, or should i always keep a slight bend like this guy?

  • slightly bent! extending can be dangerous~ :)

  • way to many shirtless guys in this video.

This is not a good example of good form.

  • and this is strict form because..... ? he's doing the easier form of pull ups (behind the neck, which restricts the range of motion), but he's not even performing full range of motion for the exercise. furthermore he's going very quickly which means he's using a lot of swinging momentum to get into the next rep. I wouldn't call this very strict at all.

  • i wouldnt call behind the neck easier, unless you have very flexible shoudlers, since ur arm will be in an awkard position.

  • @squibbae if its so easy then go out and show us you doing 39 behind the neck... heck how about 5 and i'll be satisfied.

  • im 83kg but im 6'3'' i kno a good weight for me is around 92kg cause im a skinny guy really

  • HOW MANY U DO A DAY?

  • if anybody who weights around 100 kgs can do more than 10 back wide grip pull ups please post it.

  • When you weight 83 kg. It's pretty easy to do those pull ups. I could do 100 of those at that weight. Now at 99 kg of muscle I can only do 10 reps * 3 times. But front pull ups I can do 20 reps straight.

  • You do realize what you said is pretty stupid right. Mariusz Pudzianowski could do 100 pullups at might weight... but he isn't AT my weight. Saying that you COULD do it at that weight means nothing because all your trying to do is give yourself an excuse for not being able to do 30... If you were 99 kgs of lean muscle with very little fat, you could do it.

  • If I post my picture I will put you to shame gfxlonghorn, I'm fucking ripped you idiot. When you weight 210 pounds pull ups get tough

now I said I can do 3 reps of 10 at that weight. Now I weight 200 pounds I can do 20 reps x 3 times. I'm bodybuilding and kickboxing over 15 years.........shut the fuck up punk ass bitch!!

  • You sure are a tough guy on the internet...

  • thats kind of sad if you have trained that hard to get to that weight and you cant even do that many pullups

    longhorn is right

stop using weight as an excuse

  • Ok.....veersuomi. How many pull ups can you do? do you weight 200-210 pounds? If not shut the fuck up!! I benched 275 pounds x 10. Anybody that knows will tell you the heavier you are the harder pull up reps become period. What is your weight and how many reps can you do. By the way when I talk about pull ups I am talking widelat spread MR-T pullups with your chin clearing the bar and wide arm grip. Not front close grip pullups.

I can do 20 reps for 3 sets.

  • 275lbs for 10 reps is pretty damn weak for someone who is 200-210. a strong person should be able to at least hit 150%-175% bodyweight on the bench, you're just average but hey, i gotta give it to you, you sure sound tough on the internet, peace ;)

  • 275x10 equals about a 365 1-rep max, so a 210 man doing 365 *is* benching 173% of his bodyweight and therefore meets your definition of "strong".

  • sorry I didn't make myself clear, what I meant was 150%-170% for 10 reps, most people max out at 150% BW easily so no big deal there. anyways I highly doubt 275x10 amounts to 365 1RM, thats one additional plate on each side, any idea how much heavier that is?

  • "most people max out at 150% BW" Are you crazy? Most people would be lucky to max out at 50% BW if that. If you mean "most people that have done serious and consistent strength training for an exteneded time period" max at at 150% BW, I might buy that, but "most people" in general there is no way. Sure 150% BW bench press is a good goal for someone to shoot for but "most people" sure aren't doing it. But, hey, I gotta give it to you, you sure sound smart on the internet, peace ;)

  • 83 kilos.....is 183 pounds. 96 kilos ....is 210 pounds ALMOST 30 POUNDS MORE YOU HAVE TO PULL.

YOU DONT SEE ANY 210 POUND GYMNAST THEY ARE ALL LEAN GUYS.

  • wow those are perfect pullups too not like these other fuckers that swing 100 pullups

  • im a muay thai fighter wanting to get harder core escially obliques and the back by the kidneys any suggestions#?

also i appreciate your efforts i do alot of bar work and im building up slowly to perfect mutiple reps of muscle ups im onli 16 and 120 pounds mind

    -haydn

    -adelaide

  • hi haydn - for lower back/obliques, check out my ab crunch vids by steve & I. train hard; cheers mate!

  • @marcusbondi what is the advantage of pulling with your head in front of the bar like that? does it work different muscles?

  • u guys r hot.... please post videos of all of u flexing all body parts... including legs and some tight bulges in pants PLZ

  • Wtf man? O_o

That's a lot of pull ups.

I turned 16 like 2 months ago and I can barely do like 16~18 pull ups. =/

  • Fucking amazing, damn

  • Dude give me your workout I want to do that please

  • yo puedo 3 no mas jaja

  • amazing..how do you build that kind of strength endurance?! i do bjj and work religiously with kb's, and am pretty fit, but cant get past 25..

  • hi mickey - light weights & lots of reps. train hard. cheers!

  • its hard for anyone to stay on a bar for more than one minute doing any-ups. see my pull-up vid. you can get higher numbers in same time.

  • @mickey6258 lol he is Russian, thats why, you born strong there lol

  • Jeez... that's unbelievable. He must have a great wife.

  • Hi Dana - Well, obviously!!!!!! ;)

  • That's russian being spoken in the back ground. What gives?

  • hi pacus - many of our guys are amazing Russian athletes!

  • What do you mean by your guys? And yeah Russians are pretty fit.

  • che, alguno de estos, laburara?

  • Also, I'd like to see this individual do those as easily to the front instead of behind the neck. It's an excellent effort in his part regardless though.

  • hi Auri; The USA is awesome & it has great bodyweight exponents - just check out the vid in my faves of 'Hitting the bars in NYC 2007' - Cheers man! BTW Maurice can do about 34 to the front...

  • @ matermanator

I suppose I must be in the other half of the Americans you claim to know, as you'll see by my chin up videos. I'm also positive I would not "fall flat" when working abs like you claim many Americans would. I fail to see why everything with some of you Europeans has to be commented on with an "us vs those lazy Americans" attitude. Certainly there are some bench kings that don't know much else, but it's hardly an epidemic.

  • whos the monkey in the background at the start of the video?

  • hi shiya, that's Max (see his 27 chins on my vid list) - he's just kidding around; he's also a gr8 mma/wrestler/kickboxer. cheers man - ps: like your vids!

  • straighten

  • really good stuff. half the americans i know can bench press a ton of weight, curl like mad, use the cable machines but when it comes to simple chin ups or anything involving abs they all fall flat real quick... i love this stuff, really great strength and something for me to try

  • hey marcus! I've just noticed that somebody spoke Russian there, who was it? lol! Maurice great work! =) He doesnt seem to weigh 83kg tho, he is quite tall probably :)

  • Hey bandit! Yeah a few of the guys on the Bondi bars are Russian; they are v. tough to train with- NO PITY!!! LOL! Cheers bro.

  • hehe, it's good to know that cuz I'm Russian too! lol! Say hello to them from Dmitrijs ^^ How is ur training, btw? Do u keep progressing?

  • That's a huge number of strict form chins

I wonder how the behind the head chins compare to regular pronated grip chins in difficulty

  • tysonblue, you obviously dont know what your talkin about. i can guess for sure that your back muscles dont look like his, you dont try a range of pull ups. Plus you can see him going through the pain to push himself, most people give up, bet those last 10 was burners! anyway nice one maurice

  • Your credibility is going downhill. The range of motion on the last 25 reps was 6-8 inches. Try to maintain strict form, and go all the way down, from the front. I respect the person you have doing the 25 pullups with the blonde hair. He did his pullups with the best form, and least amount of cheating!

  • u idiot. doing them from the front is alot easier than the back. i'll put a vid up of me doing them both. and when you look at me you'll know i know what i'm talking about

  • very impressive!

ill try to beat my score of that way . its 10 lol

  • cheers parko!
