Ladies and gentlemen, this was exactly as I expected, and the reason I wanted to see Raocow's reaction to it, in all it's "wtf".

May I present to you Danmaku Bounded Field. Originally Yukari's final spellcard in Perfect Cherry Blossom, made EVEN MORE nuts as her Last Word in Imperishable Night, this is the very epitome of Touhou.

It is worth noting that Yukari herself is ENTIRELY UNTOUCHABLE during this, and the only way to win is to survive.

I won't blame you if you say 'screw that', raocow.

None (generic spiny flinging)

Ran's card Ultimate Buddhist/Yukari's Bewitching Butterfly in the Zen Temple ("lol swastikas" but not)

Mesh of Light and Darkness (Laser periods!)

Ran's card Unilateral Contract, I think? ("cluster bullets"

Ran Yakumo + (Namely, the IaMP version that incorporates Chen, the "laser tag")

And finally Danmaku Bounded Field.

All the difficulty of a touhou spell, without the benefit of a pixel-big hitbox! Maybe the object of the pattern is to drill stomp a bunch of the bullets away.

All I have to say is good freaking luck with that. (plus having to go through lakitu madness after game overing is just salt in the wound)

This makes me dread this super secret extra stage even more.

Yeah, you pretty much have to drill kick as many bullets away as you can in order to survive.

The one saving grace of this battle is that the game remembers each specific pattern you survive, so if you die and come back you don't have to start from the first bullet pattern again.

I'm no expert, but to my understanding, left and right-facing swastikas are both legitimate representations of the figure. While it is true that the Nazis used the right-facing swastika more often, the distinction is (usually) arbitrary. Left-facing is probably more common nowadays due to right-facing's association with Naziism, but both are used. There are a few systems that make distinctions between the facings, but from what I've read, it's usually not to the extent westerners think it is.
