Thanks a bunch I will go search all the bakeries in town lol!

  • u made me want some:( they look sooo good

  • Ok so ahora que estoy viviendo en Alemania es cuando me ha dado por cocinar comida Cubana por primera vez en mi corta vida lol asi que gracias por hacermelo tan facil! Una pregunta, puedo usar papel de aluminio instead of wax paper, or is there a reason why it is better to use wax paper? Otra pregunta if i can't find the Pepperidge Farm pastry puffs can i use a regular Goya empanada instead?

  • @Eclectic31

You can use aluminum foil if you want, but the bottom of the pastelito will be a little more burnt. The wax or parchment paper will keep the bottom of the pastelito nice and golden, and the butter in the puff pastry will taste better. As for using the goya empanada, it will not be flaky like a pastelito, it will be like an empanada. If you visit a pastry shop in Germany, they may sell sheets of puff pastry. Enjoy!

  • Awesome awesome awesome!

  • Great idea! Thanks for the video. If you ever don't want to cook and want to taste great Cuban food. Artesano Restaurant in Union City (or little Cuba) is just outside of Manhattan. 5 minutes from Lincoln Tunnel. I've been visiting there since I was 9 years old.

  • how long do you keep them in the oven

  • Awesome!!! Thanks for doing this step by step! Ustedes R-O-C-K!!!

  • gracias ase tiempo que stoy por aser pastelitos

  • De una Cubanita a unos Cubanitos, MUCHAS GRACIAS!!! I live in Ft. Lauderdale and it's still a way to drive to Miami for Pastelitos. My eldest daugther's been experimenting with empanadas using the product: GOYA Para Empanadas/Dough for Turnover Pastries and they come out really good with carne; but when she tried doing with the Guayaba and Queso today it wasn't right. I found your video and L♥Ve your idea with the Puff Pastry Sheets! Once again thank you for the idea!!Besitos & Cariñitos

  • Glad posted this video. Now me and my boyfriend are going to try to make some. Que rico :)

  • Mandame algunos a Austin Texas. Me muero por comer pastelitos. I want some Wuaaaaaaaaaa

  • yum!

  • How long and at what temperature did you bake them for?

  • Hi, i just wanted to say, i made these but instead i just used cream cheese alone and it came out just like the pastelitos they sell here in miami. Also they are much cheaper than buying only one for like 75 cents when you can make a whole bunch for less! Thank you so much these came out great :-)

  • coñoooo chicooooo...ke ganas de comer pasteles de guayaba me vino...aqui en Italia a la gente les da asco comer mermelada de guayaba con queso, dicen ke es como comer arros con chocolate...te saludo pero eres un torturados

  • WOW! These were a hit amongst my family and friends in Cali, they are super yummy! I just followed the cooking instructions on the box, 400 degrees for 15 min. I used wax paper in my first batch and my oven started to smoke so the next time I used foil, it worked just as fine. Please post more!
