@hazza2223 There is absolutely no reason to buy an instrument because it is heavy.

If you like the tone of one and it just happens to be heavy, that's great.

However, if you prefer the tone of a lighter instrument, even better, saves you some pain.

The weight of an instrument has very little to do with the tone. Pickup placement, scale length, construction methods, composition. Those are what matter.
