@jowrab A red parry is when you interrupt what would normally be a block-string (something you couldn't mash a button or reversal an invincible super through) with a parry. It's special because it must be done on the first active frame AFTER being put in block-stun (which is very difficult to do consistently). This allows high level 3rd Strike players to negate chip deaths with less guessing.

@joker36m not necessarily... for an attack like that, you just parry every pair of kunai being thrown. if you parry one pair you automatically parry 2 at the same time cuz its 2 attacks in the same frame. of course pressing forward as fast as you can helps too.

honestly and truly it doesnt take long.. i mean i got sf3 round this past december and i manage to properly parry within a week.

just keep practicing the parry training.

hm, it's more about predicting and knowing the timing of the attacks you want to parry than anything else, you'll learn it while you play. Some players make it a habit, others rarely use it, it's up to you to know how it fits in your playing style.

Uhm...for moves like oro's EX Yagyou Dama, all you do is parry the first hit on time and then tap forward as fast as possible to parry the rest, you don't follow a particular rhythm. Same with Ibuki's SAI and Remy's SAI.

I've parried Oro's Yagyu Oodama a million times. It's easy because of the delay of the special. The hardest one I've parried is Twelve's X.N.D.L.

The parry is executed from the block position - notice how Ryu is always parries as he is blocking throughout the video.

@krizanya red parry gives you a chance to hit the opponent after a hit. instead of blocked and being knocked back the opponent doesnt have a chance to recover and block the hit.
