I suppose its the wrong season now for this...but i heard DFD sing this and loved it...anyways a woman singing it doesnt make much sense does it?

Aw come on, a woman singing Sesto or Annio or ... - makes more sense? There are two lines in the whole song cycle to suggest it's a man tells the story. And believe me, women can feel the whole range of emotions the lieder express. Anyway, if you prefer, just imagine it's Cherubino telling his story after Aguas Frescas :P
