I love everything (well, almost) about Scotland, too, and I am not Scottish.

But this song has long since transcended its place of origin. It's a UNIVERSAL song, "adopted" by the world.

Sure, I understand Scottish people being "proud" of it and such - but it also saddens me, because it takes away from its universal appeal.
