  • We who came after are not guilty of what our ancestors did, but we have the duty to face our heritage and pay the depth they have left us.

  • Since some days i `v been watching whole doc-vids several times, in great respect. It`s not easy to come from todays "reality" after many brainwashings in the written & schoolteached-history, as usuall written by "the heroes and winners". I am asking my self, how to find way back to the trail of humanity?! How to explain to the growing up children that we are daily doing wrong by closing our eyes and ears, knowing that we are all brothers and sisters?

    Love&Peace Ljubav&Mir Liebe&Frieden

  • This documentary sucks compared the other one that was made about his life that I have seen.....

  • do white people ever feel the guilt of whipping out the entire ethnic group from this world?

  • @simbakafiri Why the fuck should we feel guilty for something our ancestors did?

  • @BackInTheCage well coz you are directly benefitting from it....idiot

  • For more detailed information about the truth of the man ISHI -please find & read the Book

Ishi in Two Worlds by Theodora Kroeber Please do everyone justice and read the book before launching out with ignorant comments , this video production has some errors & the more complete True Story of Ishi can be obtained by reading the book-

  • Kessler's self infalting story seems to focus on "Kessler" as being the main topic, his "re-telling" does not bring accuracey but imagrey - But the pitiful fact remains that Kessler is the only living human who was there - More important is the entire story of Ishi which may be obtained through reading the book- this video is Kessler's story-time for thses "kids" BFD

  • @rentatrip1 so you're saying that the book has more accuracy?

  • @fireworksoflife - more accuracey than ? I simply think that someone viewing this video and reading all the comments will have a much broader understanding of Ishi after the people READ the book- My initial exposure to Ishi was in 1970 long before all these videos were made -I Read The Book- perhaps since you are the single finite source of all truth about Ishi you should post that "fact" somewhere within these descriptions / Comments/ - my most humble appology -forgive me

  • How appropriate that a "wild" Native American man's first contact with American society would involve being given a cigarette and having the cops called on him and taken to jail. Welcome to America baby, assimilate with the program and produce energy that can be harnessed via taxation!

  • @everelusive9 Great point, but he was obviously smoking before contact. Jed Riffe even found a whiskey bottle at Grizzly Bear's hiding place.

  • WHAT SPANISH DID YOU TELL HIM? TACO BELL, RIO GRANDE RIVER?

  • 2:34 He's no mexican lol but close.

  • The image of the Indian running from dogs as Ad Kessler tells the story is inaccurate. Ishi was in his 40's, and had singed off his hair in mourning for the loss of his mother and family members. Also, Kessler himself, in this recording, says he discovered Ishi sitting with his back to the building. Why people feel the need to add their "artistic interpretation" to an historical retelling is beyond me.

  • Amazing! Soooo much better than the '91 HBO film by the same title! Thanks for up-loading this.
