i love it how her kitri isn't all about getting your legs up next to your ears and behind your head, and sacrificing some technique and musicality at the same time. even though we know she can get her legs up there, her technique, musicality and passion are so strong. absolutely breathtaking

I first knew from the ballet Don Quixote seeing Cynthia Harvey in this video. And today in Reus (Spain), just a few minutes ago, I've talked with her about this video. I'm leaving in a dream! Wow, talk about underrated. She's phenomenal! Judging from this performance, I'd say she was much better than many of the other more famous female principles from that period of ABT. Her energy and technique would fit in with the company today.

I have always been so impressed with Cynthia in this ballet. She's not a dancer who has the kind of legendary reputation of some of the other ABT ballerinas of the same era but i think she's quite underrated. What powerhouse technique for such a little tiny frame!
