Not all were killed. Seven died, 11 survived. Of those killed, Gunnery Sgt. James P. Paige Jr. (Gunney Paige), helped get Marines who were knocked unconscious out of the helo as he was closest to the door. Those men surfaced, still unconscious, to be rescued. Gunny Paige did not.

A lot of martyrs in the military die just in training. If I remember correctly all on board were killed. the crash doesn't even seem that bador violents but the helo just hit n sank.
