I was a Finnish kid in the 90's and played this a lot. I always thought that when they passed the puck, a player shouted "Hyökkäykseen!" which means "To the attack!" in English . We always wanted to play a shootout because it was something new and amazing. When we played ice hockey outside I used to hum Blades of Steel goal song very loudly and neighbours didn't like it. Great memories! :D

I kicked ass all the way to the finals, until all of sudden I was losing for some reason. (I never lose.) 4 seconds left, I need to score to tie it up. I was determined to win, they got the puck, but I was able to get into a fight. I always lose the fights on that level, but I was determined to win, and then it was me against the goalie all alone, but I missed the shot. Tried.

This was the first hockey game I ever played! Watching this brought back a lot of memories. I still knew that the players skated around 3 times before the game and a fight broke out if you bumped into each other thrice!

Penalty shootouts were the best tho! It was a player taking a shot soccer style and you had to make the save using the D-Pad. I used go through whole games and tying on purpose just for those!
