Prior to that 20 years Prussia and Russia raped the country and made it into an agricultural region, In 1919 it had to start from scratch. It did not have the means to mass produce anything large. It did have an excellent Infantry and Cavalry. Infantry trained 18 month just like the Germans. Cavalry even longer. There was no lack of knowledge of anything and many had trained in other countries as well. Read up.

Polska armia nie jest gotowa. Co z tego, że mamy żołnierzy jednych z najlepszych na świecie, jaka nasza armia jest liczebnie mała. Kilka F-16, troche wozów pancernych i dobre czołgi.
Ale gdyby nadeszła wojna to miesiąc-dwa i mamy partyzantkę. Nie znam się na wojsku, ale na pewno nasze nie daje nam pełnego bezpieczeństwa.

Po 3 wiele tych technologii zostało wprowadzonych gdy wojna była już w zasadzie wygrana przez aliantów.

In 1939, the Germans were mainly equipped with the small Panzer I and Panzer II models which were vulnerable to such weapons.

They were shown corpses of Polish cavalrymen & their horses, as well as nazi tanks that arrived at the place after the battle. One of the Italians, Montanelli, sent an article, in which he described the bravery of Polish soldiers, who charged nazi tanks with sabres. Although such a charge did not happen & there were no tanks used during the combat, the myth was used by nazi propaganda.

Who said the Poles "attacked with sabres"? The account says "elements" of the cavalry saw an opening to engage a nazi "infantry battalion", the APC's were stationed "nearby", since this was a forested area, it would be elementary "Watson", to presume that the Poles were surprised & had to retreat.....

Despite all of this, a myth was born in addition to many others fabricated by the nazis, yet they managed a colossal loss at Stalingrad despite their superior military advantage & "superman" status.

Nazis had so many problems with Poland during invasion, so they decided to delay invasion on France. After occupation of Poland many Poles fought in French, then British or even in American Army. Prior to that 20 years Prussia and Russia raped the country and made it into an agricultural region, In 1919 it had to start from scratch. It did not have the means to mass produce anything large. It did have an excellent Infantry and Cavalry. Infantry trained 18 month just like the Germans. Cavalry even longer. There was no lack of knowledge of anything and many had trained in other countries as well. Read up.

Lots of people dont realise that after Poland was defeated in WW2 we didnt stop fighting - joining any ally army we came across.

Polska armia nie jest gotowa. Co z tego, że mamy żołnierzy jednych z najlepszych na świecie, jaka nasza armia jest liczebnie mała. Kilka F-16, troche wozów pancernych i dobre czołgi.
Ale gdyby nadeszła wojna to miesiąc-dwa i mamy partyzantkę. Nie znam się na wojsku, ale na pewno nasze nie daje nam pełnego bezpieczeństwa.

Po co nam kilkuset tysięczna armia, samo mięso armatnie? Liczbami nie wygrywa się bitew. Poza tym dzisiejsze konflikty polegają na czymś zupełnie innym. Lepiej mieć armię małą ale sprawną i nowoczesną.

Śmiech na sali,Hammery 2 generacji w spadku po armii Amerykańskiej,które trza dopancerzać workami z piaskiem.Samoloty tak samo,w stanach miało to iść do złomowania a Polska kupiła to po taniości.Ale i tak lepsze to niż BWP-y,Ziły i cała reszta poradzieckiego badziewia.Ale mamy coś swojego,Rosomak tym możemy się pochwalić.

@kaccor: co innego wojska z partyzantką (jak w Afganistanie) a co innego wojna regularna. I zarówno w pierwszym przypadku, jak i drugim nie mielibyśmy szans na zwycięstwo. A Niemcy przegrali po 1. ponad 70 lat i dużo sie zmieniło od tego czasu, po 2 wiele ich projektów było marnotrawstwem surowców i pieniędzy. Po 3 wiele tych technologii zostało wprowadzonych gdy wojna była już w zasadzie wygrana przez aliantów.

@JarekBestia poczytaj, poucz się historii a potem się wypowiadaj. Trochę szacunku. To byli świetnie wyszkoleni i dowodzeni żołnierze. Nigdy celem szarż kawalerii nie były oddziały pancerne ani inne, zawierające pojazdy opancerzone.
