I am a volunteer rescuer in LA or over 10 years. I firmly believe that euthanizing Rocco is not the solution. I understand the time it can take for bully breeds to find their right home. Since you are in Socal too - pls reach out to other area rescue grps for help in networking his situation, raise donations 4 boarding, volunteers who could help walking him/socialzing. Pls semd me message and I can get out mass email. Also contact Its the Pits in SD.
Rocco is losing his foster home tomorrow. His foster mom's dad is dying and she's been away a lot. Rocco, after getting on with the other dogs for months, got into a fight with the Lab. His foster mom needs him out of there by tomorrow, Nov 3. We've had him over 1 1/2 years and had to kennel him for most of that time but we just can't afford it again. I'm going to make a last ditch effort to find him a home; otherwise I have to put him to sleep. I am hoping for a miracle.
Where is this dog's pertinent info.? Contact information, adoption procedure, fees, location, etc...personality bio is great and video is awesome, but without the above info, how can he be networked?
I've just sent you guys an email. I am in Charleston, SC. I'm curious as to why he's been so difficult to place. He's just beautiful and fat! My name is Kelly.
Rocco is adorable...he looks like he could be my baby's twin brother...i noticed this was posted a year ago...there has to be some1 willing to adopt such a loving and beautiful dog. He cant be put to sleep...there has to be some1 willing to give him a chance in life for only $100. COME YOUTUBERS..ask around if anyone lookin to adopt a loving and gorgeous dog! i really hope i will see the "ADOPTED" word at the end of the title of this video soon =/
We'd have to euthanize him. One viewpoint is that we could save many more dogs with the money we've spent and continue to spend on him. On the other hand, we're committed to finding our dogs home, even if it does take time. We're not ready to give up on his yet.
I completely agree. It is estimated that **millions** of pit bulls/mixes are put to sleep in the US every year, not to mention other breeds. In CA they use lethal injection. In other parts of the country, dogs are dumped alive into large gas chambers while the dogs below them are still thrashing about in terror. The only way to stop the carnage is to spay and neuter.

this pit did he get any home?
DestanMr 2 years ago
No :( We've had him 16 months. His boarding costs us over $400 a month and we're not sure how much longer we can afford to keep paying it.

Per the Humane Society: "It is widely accepted that 9.6 million animals are euthanized annually in the United States."

so is overbreeding dogs so that there are thousands of pit/pit mixes in shelters all over the country-they just end up euthanized
