  • Well..this guy makes a lot of sense..and it's true..lots of amateurs would have better scores this way..but in his example I think he is taking too much for granted...there's a good amount of people trying to break 90 that aren't a lock to hit the green from 90 out...what then? I still say drive it...but don't kill it...make sure you only have to a little pitch to make it on in one over regulation..not 90 fuckin yards lol

  • Got to remember though if you get on for 3 and always 2 putt you will have a score of 18 . But you might 1 putt a few holes and get a par on them. As long as you never put more than two. You can always lower your score dramaticly with putting and chiping.

  • I agree with many thing that this guy says but this "that par 4 is for professionals so add a stroke" mentality is missing something. Progressive tees maybe??? Pro's play "The Tips" or "Black Tees". Mid cappers = blue and beginners = white and Ladies = Red. That is what levels the playing field along with the Handicap system. He seems to be trying to circumvent this and you may break 90 but thats it. I don't like this rewriting of the rules. Nicklaus says 12 holes and Adams says play forward..NO

  • This is pretty obvious stuff really. The idea of playing one extra shot is good though, to help take the pressure off, however like a lot of good golfers they assume that players are going to always 2 putt, always going to hit the green from 90yds etc.etc..

  • It works. Using the "bogey is par mentality" I stopped worrying about my score and I shot +1 today(and that with lipping out my birdie putt on the last hole) for the 1st time in my life.

  • this is great except if you ever want to learn to play real golf..

  • THANK YOU!!!

  • Very true exspecially the setting your own par thing.

  • if you play golf like this you'll break 90 for sure. but you aint ever gonna get better than that. why not have some ambition and start trying to hit the difficult shots. If you have the ability to hit the ball over 200yrds then you should be thinkin birdie or par on every hole but still keeping it in mind that bogey is still a good score.

  • He makes a lot of sense, but i will say i wouldn't be happy being off 18, some will but not me. To score well on a course is hard, to hit a good shot is the easy part. Understanding how to score is the key, this is what he explains. My best was off 3 but i was hitting balls 6 times a week. To be a better golfer is easy, PRACTICE , PRACTICE , PRACTICE! There are no short cuts in this game!

  • I don't know why every body bags this guy cause hes fat. Every thing he says is the truth. He really just cuts the shit and tells you the way it is.Practice is a big part of it but you got to have the game plan to keep you from getting in a panic if you suddenly are missing your greens. For us non pros making pars is what its all about.

  • I watched this video about 2 months ago and ive been doin wut this guy told me and i have brought down my score by at least 10 shots no joke. Cuz lets say u have a par-4...instead of trying to go for that green from 170 yds. on ur sencond shot, i can lay up to about 20 yds. and all you have to do now is hit it to 10 ft... uve got a 10 footer for par. If u miss it u have a tap in for bogey. If u bogey evry hole, u get 90....sooner or later ur gonna start makin sum 10 footers for par!

  • The guy is a complete and utter noddie! Love the way he laughs though - absolutely priceless!

  • Thanks for the tip. It's been added to the GOLF LESSONS DOT TV.

  • The only tip to break the 90 is to practice!

  • For the low handicapper that has solid swing mechanics more practice will result in better play however for the high handicapper who doesnt have solid swing mechanics and keep practicing the wrong things result in getting worst picking up chain of bad habbits. Its much easier said then done for the low handicap golfer or a high haandicap golfer who could afford lessons to make sure that they were doing things correctly during practice time.
