You may need to get an ultralite so she can follow you when she's learning how to fly :)

She's growing into a fine young lady, Zip! It's amazing how they grow SO fast. But she's obviously had nothing but the best of care, and it shows.

You'll start getting clues in a few weeks, when she starts doing "wingercises," stretching and discovering those things called wings, that she's oblivious to now. I've watched them flapping and running across ponds, not sure what she'll do in a small space, but she'll figure it out.

MINNOWS IN A POND ! Yes, I just discovered Taffy will get her daily dose of fish if you release her into a distant Country Pond. Minnows GALORE !

The highway department as converted all the creeks to road drainage canals, hence, no life. Use GOOGLE EARTH to locate ponds. Try for the Norther n town parks, or the State Parks. Case the ponds first. If you can see lots of minnows near your feet at the shore, then THAT'S the place. Good Luck :o)

@tidemover I rescued a baby sparrow once and of course while growing up she thought of me as her mother. Once I released her she hung around for two years I know of... possibly longer. I no longer live in the same area but I am sure she remembers who took care of her. :)
