no Bardiche was fine and done very nicely, the device voice they killed in my opinion was Graf Eisen and a little abit of Laevantien.

I imagine it's because at some parts in the series(not often) they speak broken english and it would sound awkward with the proper english of the other characters. This doesn't happen that much, maybe 1 or 2 scenes but they'd have to redub the whole thing or else bardiche's voice would suddenly change for a scene then go back to the original japanese voice.

Distribution licenses likely specify that all voices need to be redubbed by English actors.

For instance, the reason the SRW OG games for the PS2 haven't seen release in America is because SCEA has a mandatory redubbing policy. Given that there's like a hundred spoken roles in each game it's infeasible to do so, especially since most SRW fans would want the Japanese voices anyway.

@toomuchanime: Agreed! I like the original devices' voices better, but the English dubbed Raising Heart and Bardiche was just outstanding.
