I used to have this phone, but I thought it was a little too bulky, and my mom just upgraded. My mom got the Jitterbug 4G--- I mean the HTC Inspire. I just got the HTC Aria.

@mtmjr90 Dude this phone may have been released in 08' but it still has the same features a newer Windows Mobile device would have. Mines got stolen in March but before it got stolen I had all the fun in the world with that Pocket PC.

@KioskHacking I recognize that it may have been good, but with WP7 just around the corner, Froyo/Gingerbread on Android, iOS 4 and the gorgeous/beastly hardware that the aforementioned come on, I don't see any good in getting an old, outdated phone with mid-level software. Not to mention the Windows Marketplace will not have many new apps for WinMo with WP7 coming out...

@mtmjr90 Pfft lol I don't even depend on Marketplace, I use a 3rd party app that supplies me a whole different app store for WinMo that has waay better (and more) apps. Mid-Level software? WM6.1 was actually good to me, plus the phone is upgradable to 6.5 where they fixed any possible bugs. Either way since my phone is stolen i'll be forced to upgrade anyway...just defending one of the best phones I ever owned. Guess i'll go with the HTC Tilt2.

@KioskHacking Lol that's exactly what another WinMo proponent on YouTube told me to do:) I admit that the HD2 is a nice phone and WinMo looks good on it, however I maintain that it's mostly due to HTC's Sense UI. Personally, I've got the HTC Evo...which is essentially a better HD2 and runs Android... However, as you said, if a more PC-like feel is what you're going for, then yes I'd say WinMo is good:)

Unfortunately Windows Mobile doesn't work like Windows. If you wish to flash the ROM on the phone you will need to flash with the ROM that's specifically cooked for the device. There are several nice ROMs available on xda-developers. Check it out.

i would say the htc fuze, it has windows mobile which has a lot more options and a lot more software. And also the htcc fuze has htc's touchflo 3d, which is the really cool today screen. Now the samsung impressions is a good phone, but it doesn't have windows mobile, it is just a normal phone with samsung's touch UI for the today screen.

I would say the Samsung Impression. This phone has a gorgeous AMOLED screen and a 3.2" touchscreen!! It is very bright and appealing to everybody. The qwerty keyboard is very roomy and feels nice. Samsung also but in the Samsung UI on the homescreen and it makes shortcuts so much easier! It also has amazing day time changing themes which are pretty cool and using this phone is a blast! I would get the Samsung Impression because it features many features and the HTC Fuze does not. Thanks you.

I would definatley pick the refurbished HTC fuze. A refurbush Fuze is the same amount as a new impression and does alot more. It is a windows mobile phone and being a smart phone has many features. The Impression, although it does have internet, it is not a smartphone. Over all I think this phone has a better appearance and although it is not thin it is very sleek. This is a better phone. And if you can get this for the same price as the impression then go for it!

Don't get this phone. It's internet service sucks ass and It's as slow as hell. The touch screen can barely be used without you're stilus and it opens programs that you don't want. The delays between the switching is slow as fuck---not 1 second... You will also notice alot of bugs and the bootup time is like .. longer than a laptop. The pages cannot get backgrounds except for your home screen so everything is 9/10 times white.. -.- You will see so many bugs that its hilarious and the service sux

In 1:14 (and 2:27) you mentioned you have to hit the Function key to activate the number pad. On my 8525 (aka Hermes), when you're in Phone mode and you slide the keyboard out, you can dial using the number pad without having to hit the Function key. Have you tried that on yours?

this phone is cool, but im torn between the iphone.

in the store, the fuze was way slow when doing anything, and the applications were confusing. the iphone isn't too confusing.

the iphone has awful text, but has a much better touch screen, and is an itouch. the fuze has a good keyboard.

what i saw in terms of cameras was about even. they both took quality pictures, but the fuze had a long time for videos.

There is no denying that it is a bulky phone, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Bulky=sturdy, and though I would not recommend dropping it, it's going to with stand it better then some other touch screens out on the market. As far as the slide, I've had no problems and in fact I love the feel of it. My best suggestion is that you head to the store and check it out so you can get some one-on-one time with it.

uhhh there is no specific app but you just go to it from the browser on the fuze but it works the same but it just takes a lil longer to get there and its a lil less mobile user friendly
