I've played matches at 4 a.m. You can play 11 vs. 11, with the option of playing as the goalkeeper. Konami has a lot of work to do, they're still doing the saga because they have a lot of fanboys who will always support the game even if it looks like Sensible Soccer.
look at the ball control in pes at 2:40. It's completly unrealistic. Rooney is sprinting at full pace and the ball sits up in front of him perfectly everytime. NO player can do that consistently apart from Messi in real life, and even he loses control at times at full pace. Ergo Fifa is better.

I dont need any team names... am very happy with PES gameplay.. its the closest to real... but I somehow feel referees in FIFA are more sensible... PES really needs to put some sense while programming the refs in their games...

pes has a more difficult game, because you actually have shoot from distance with a lot of defenders, but for fifa all you do is through balls and get a breaaway with the other stupid defenders in the game,

I'm looking at getting a game. I'm an adult and it looks like to me PES is better. I say this because the players in PES seem to actually have moves. While FIFA it seems has same moves. Idk it looks like it to me.
@Babins1 Well i couldn't even finish a match after i saw how unrealistic PES 2011 is . When i look at a live football match if i have to name a game that looks more alike that would be FIFA. And the best football games are fifa 07 / 09 / 11 (from experience playing the games you mentioned and the games i mentioned )
@danys323 FIFA 10 and FIFA 11 are the same, I don't even know why you skip it. The only differences are the penalty kicks, a bit harder to score free kicks (although it's still too easy), and the goalkeeping option, that's it about gameplay. Ultimate Team for free was also a HUUUUGE addition, even though I was never keen on it, but I've played it a lot lately, it's fun when you're bored. I'm definitely getting FIFA 12 though, they always add something new and cool every year.
@Babins1 i think you should see a doctor about your eyes. Then you can see that pes players runs robotic and there are no beatiful reactions. PES's re-actions are "X and O, R stick" Fıfa's re-actions are "X, O, >, ^, < ,V, L1, Rstick"
It means, you can do a lot of skills and moves with most of these buttons in FIFA. But you can't do them in PES. You can do some trick with L2 + Rstick and it's not funny :)
PES 10 was robotic but not PES 11 and as you can tell from the PES 12 demo there are 8 different ways a player can dribble the ball thanks to the new ball control system they put in.

Fifa is the best for Consoles this year,thus pc gamers must be dissapointed.. You ask why? because the game wasnt optimized for pc at all.. It stutters every second for me and for many more people out there. The lag is horrible.And i know it isnt my pc,because when the ball goes out of play,the game goes really smooth. But when its IN play i get lags.. EA fails to make fifa for the pc this year.
The guy who created this video chose THE WORST camera view ever for FIFA. Come on man look how high the camera is. Who plays FIFA like that?The AI in PES is horrible are you kidding? Does the ref make any calls? Sheesh. Look at 5:54 and 6:13. The AI on all accounts is horrible in PES. The gameplay doesnt look bad however, but when I played it it was not smooth by any means. Graphics are nice but very dull and the skill moves are choppy. Zero flair. In FIFA players with flair have distinction.
I've got PES2011 and FIFA2011 on pc... PES just looks better and the players act like players... FIFA is boring you simple have 1 recipe for goal on each difficulty.. in pes it only takes you soo far... I think many of the comments here is made by people playing on really low diff... just coz they wanna score a lot of goals...

Both games succeed where the other fails, that's why i will always play both. In a few words i would say that in PES its more fun to score, and in FIFA it's more fun to play passing game. What i would deffinitely like in FIFA is a bigger court and what i would deffinitely like in PES is to fix the damm bugs..

in pes, 3 out of 5 reach the goal and the goal keeper sometimes has trouble getting it, is not always a goal.
FIFA could have been great, but the offline micro freeze glitch (that freezes your game for a few secs some 5-10 times a game), the online freeze cheat and some nasty graphical bugs like players sinking into the ground, make it very hard to like.

I have always bought PES. I have pes 3, 5 and 2008 but when i bought fifa 11 i realised it is far superior. I am not a fifa fanboy, its the truth. on pes the players move in jagged lines and look robotic. the smooth motion on fifa and commentary and game modes make it ten times the buy

@danys323 FIFA 10 and FIFA 11 are the same, I don't even know why you skip it. The only differences are the penalty kicks, a bit harder to score free kicks (although it's still too easy), and the goalkeeping option, that's it about gameplay. Ultimate Team for free was also a HUUUUGE addition, even though I was never keen on it, but I've played it a lot lately, it's fun when you're bored. I'm definitely getting FIFA 12 though, they always add something new and cool every year.

@Babins1 i think you should see a doctor about your eyes. Then you can see that pes players runs robotic and there are no beatiful reactions. PES's re-actions are "X and O, R stick" Fıfa's re-actions are "X, O, >, ^, < ,V, L1, Rstick"
It means, you can do a lot of skills and moves with most of these buttons in FIFA. But you can't do them in PES. You can do some trick with L2 + Rstick and it's not funny :)

PES 10 was robotic but not PES 11 and as you can tell from the PES 12 demo there are 8 different ways a player can dribble the ball thanks to the new ball control system they put in.

Fifa is the best for Consoles this year,thus pc gamers must be dissapointed.. You ask why? because the game wasnt optimized for pc at all.. It stutters every second for me and for many more people out there. The lag is horrible.And i know it isnt my pc,because when the ball goes out of play,the game goes really smooth. But when its IN play i get lags.. EA fails to make fifa for the pc this year.

The guy who created this video chose THE WORST camera view ever for FIFA. Come on man look how high the camera is. Who plays FIFA like that?The AI in PES is horrible are you kidding? Does the ref make any calls? Sheesh. Look at 5:54 and 6:13. The AI on all accounts is horrible in PES. The gameplay doesnt look bad however, but when I played it it was not smooth by any means. Graphics are nice but very dull and the skill moves are choppy. Zero flair. In FIFA players with flair have distinction.

I've got PES2011 and FIFA2011 on pc... PES just looks better and the players act like players... FIFA is boring you simple have 1 recipe for goal on each difficulty.. in pes it only takes you soo far... I think many of the comments here is made by people playing on really low diff... just coz they wanna score a lot of goals...

Both games succeed where the other fails, that's why i will always play both. In a few words i would say that in PES its more fun to score, and in FIFA it's more fun to play passing game. What i would deffinitely like in FIFA is a bigger court and what i would deffinitely like in PES is to fix the damm bugs..

I use to think fifa was the best, but after fifa 2008 they messed up big time... I have just played pes 11 and i have to say its alot better now...

@karnalito94 so theres no way to make a long shot goal? in fifa, 1 out of 6 long shots barely reach the goalie and goalkeeper stops it with no problem.
in pes, 3 out of 5 reach the goal and the goal keeper sometimes has trouble getting it, is not always a goal.

Sorry, but I have to say PES.
FIFA could have been great, but the offline micro freeze glitch (that freezes your game for a few secs some 5-10 times a game), the online freeze cheat and some nasty graphical bugs like players sinking into the ground, make it very hard to like.

Pes 1v1, you can always score, but on fifa you either score, miss or the keeper saves it. But Pes does have better graphics. Also Fifa is more realistic than Pes.

fifa is full of gimmicks like "personality plus" and "be a pro: goalkeeper" yet plays nothing like a real game of football - no midfield play, too easy to tackle, constant pressure on the ball... i could go on. pes 2011 is not perfect but it plays better than fifa which is a woeful game

This might be abit weird to some but this is how I buy a Football or any sporting game. I look for things in this order as I rarely play online.
1. Realistic and has UEFA Champions league[PES Wins this one]
2. Has Good Gameplay[FIFA Wins this one]
3. Has a good campain mode[Even]
4. Has most league modes.[FIFA Wins this one]
And I bought both games and so far I believe that PES wins out of them even though it might not be a fan favorite though I play FIFA alot aswell.

I have always bought PES. I have pes 3, 5 and 2008 but when i bought fifa 11 i realised it is far superior. I am not a fifa fanboy, its the truth. on pes the players move in jagged lines and look robotic. the smooth motion on fifa and commentary and game modes make it ten times the buy

Puede que este equivocado,pero me parece que FIFA tiene mas graficos que el PES, son mas llamativos.
Viendo este video se puede notar que el PES tiene movimientos mas realistas de los jugadores, En el fifa parece que todos los jugadores son como mesi. En el PES solamente los mejores jugadores, como Ronaldo, Messi y otros pocos tienen la capasidad de regatear asi. ^^^^^

@Eljuli0223 te digo que te equivocas.Fifa 11 tiene jugadores caracterizados:Ronaldinho(ex-Milan),Tevez,Neymar(santos),Ramires(chelsea),Petr chech,crouch,Van Persie,Rooney y un MONTÓN MÁS.PES tiene graficos mucho elaborados,pero hay mucha mecanicidad cuando en accion.Se te gusta mas un o otro,sin problema,Afinal ambos són buenos.

@planeviewer Si te entiendo decis que todos los jugadores se comportan de la misma manera. Puede ser, pero hay habilidades especiales ya desde hace teimpo en el PES que cambian la personalidad del jugador, si no me equivoco hay una habilidad que hace que el jugador sea mas propenso a regatear y otras habilidades.
Pero tienes razon. Despues de todo los dos son buenos juegos, por algo son los mejores
