Universal Studios orlando is much better than Hollywood Universal studios.. ive been to Hollywood universal and all they have is a tour, the mummy, hunted house, jurrasic park and a VIRTUAL simpsons ride. VIRTUAL. they cant even put one single roller coaster

The one in Hollywood is also a movie studio so therefore it is more about the movies, props, sets, and special effects because that's where the movies are filmed. This is why they have mostly tours, shows, exhibits, etc. to show us the actual sets and props, show how the special fx work, etc. They're a movie studio and need the room for the sets and everything. I agree that Orlando looks more fun but you can't compare them.

@haircutbob2... i'm scared of heights but this drop really isn't that high when you're on the ride. Even though the top of the lift is high the drop doesn't go all the way down to the ground. I thought this was the least scary of all the big coasters at universal. You just gotta get in line and do it, can't watch people ride it because it's honestly scary to watch then it is to be on it.

i went to Halloween Horror Nights last night and it was closed and will be for awhile. they said it was because they used new contractors that they dont usually use and when they built it the type of foundation they used cant support the pressure from the ride so its basically falling apart. they are working on it tho.

Number One Rider here I actually expect a litter more form this ride. It would have been awesome if universal went with the original plans, it would have gone around Jaws, Mem in Black through city walk but the manufacturer could not go the the designer plans should have had Bolligner & Madilla from Switzeland who did monta and hulk not the Germany company who get fired It would have been twice as long.Brakes down every day song from the secret song list is better a 45 MILLION LEMON

@SuperRocketman007 I see what you're saying but I actually think it already screws up the scenery in Universal enough without ruining the sight lines in San Francisco and Amity Island. I wouldn't have a problem with it going through the E.T., Simpsons, and MIB areas, but leave the back of the park alone (NYC, SF, Amity, etc.). I did enjoy the ride, though, especially the 90 degree angled climb at the beginning.

btw im 12, but if your scared of coasters dont consider my age, i just love coasters. this isnt a kiddy coaster, but the music actually seems to calm you down as i wasnt scared at all once the music started. (Especially since the lift hill goes directly straight up) P.S. Hulk ROCKS!!!!

@Stsent711 also, don't eat anything except breakfast before riding this. get on the queue at about 9:30 AM to avoid the 3 hour rush. also, for a first upside down coaster, go on hulk or kraken. this doesnt go upsde down.

Yeah, I almost didn't go on this either. But no The Hulk is MUCH worse as far as intensity. This ride technically does not actually go upside down. At some points it comes very close to! But it flips at last minute.

@haircutbob2 Nah.. When I rode this, it was amazing. If you wanna ride the ride without the feeling of the drop, as soon as you are at the top of the hill climb, hang your head. You won't feel the drop at ALL. Its worked for me! (trust me, those kind of drops give me the chills, but its only a few second feeling without hanging your head) (:

@FluffehTeddy Well I don't actually have a problem with the feeling of being dropped. It's the sight of it all, and seeing how freaking high up you are. If it bothers me I just close my eyes, but sometimes it's just hard to resist, and I look, and I scare the crap out of myself. haha

But on that vacation when I rode the Hulk, I rode EVERY roller coaster there, in an attempt to beat my fear of heights. @haircutbob2 If you can go on the hulk then you can definitely go on this ride. I'm scared of heights too, but it wasn't that scary. It also stops in between the ride, so it gives you time to breath. If your still scared, what I did was just close my eyes, enjoyed the music and kept my head back!

just a couple warnings...

-this ride breaks down ALOT. it was down for 4/5 days i was there.

-there is no express line. prepare for a 90 minute wait. this line is sloooow.

TIP: if its a long line, go into the singles line. it will take no longer than 5 mins, and you usually get to go with your partner anyways.

but seriously, it's a fun ride. worth the wait.
