  • I gree with and I've been into metal for 22 years and this song is fucking great! and excellent wonderful song!!. I bouth the albun in 1993

  • jon olivia is a metal god..

  • SAVATAGE is a real special kind of HEAVY METAL they are 100% UNIQUE and 100% Talented. Too bad their music Record and their manager did not support them sufficiently. They deserved to be a famous and well known band as Metallica probably but atleast they got a shot at the life of a Heavy Metal RockStar. This will always be my favorite band of all time R.I.P. Criss Olivia You Rocked in the past and now you Rock in Heaven my friend...

  • 5 people will never find the answer anywhere ... even in time.

  • Savatage is and was a great band, they never got the recognition they deserved.

  • 5 people like being butt fucked by a rhino with HIV...

  • 20 years later and I STILL get chills listening to Believe. Amazing song. Amazing band. So glad Jon found the courage to keep singing, because there are few better than he.

  • Beautiful, love Streets, thanks for the music

  • @striky16 I don't love this song. It's kitch.

  • Lol, Somewhere in Time and Jesus Saves. these guys aren't very good at coming up with original titles.

  • @IsolationInstigation Wow the titles?Have you heard populaur radio titles?there hasn't been an original title in 20 years.sure a play on words but nothing original.just listen to the song and judge.even your thrown together name is used by some other dumbass, and don't bitch about my name...my cats name is Gimpy..blame him.

  • @gimpy204

I judge the title first and then the music. What I can`t help if the title has been over-used and I find it annoying. I`ve never seen anyone else with my name. But yeah, maybe someone else has it.

What`s your point about radio tunes not having original titles? I agree on that, and I find it to be ridiculously boring. A song title believe it or not can make a song seem more intriguing. Popular radio music is shit anyway, so it`s not even an argument.

    Originality is important.

  • Time bless Savatage they deserved so much more. This band changed my life

  • we believe in metal , metal makes us believe in ourself

  • I'm an atheist and i hate Opera....Yet this is my Favourite album of all time. Should have sold tens of millions.

  • Pity I can't find the piano sheet music anywhere =,(

  • Comment removed

  • I was going through a hard time when I got this album, and it really helped me cope. Thanks Jon, and Savatage!

  • @kbit70You and me both,kbit70..This album came into my life when i was hurting and it helped me so much.

    Classic album.

  • Why 4 people don't believe? Is it so hard? Perhaps they will somewhere in time...

  • I LOVE THIS SONG

  • Perhaps God gave the answers to those with nothing to say.

  • i've been into Metal for 20 years i know all genres and i tell u this friends&neighbours, this song out of over 10,000 songs i own is the greatest metal song of all time. emotion, bombast, lyrical genius, intelligence, mood swings, epic grandiouse feeeling. u can hear it 20000 times& it can still bring a tear to your eye.1991. The production& perfection still stands up today, i don't like humanity but i tell you this anyone who loves this song i think i could be friends with irl. Believe.

  • Who would have thought in 1991 that this Smokin' hot, rock 'n roll band from Tampa, Fl, with too few fans, would turn out this fantastic tribute to faith and devotion? I hope one day that someone with more creative interest might consider Criss and Dawn's life to be worthy material for a biography inspiring Faith and Devotion. I'd go and see it... I feel like a better person for having heard this music.

  • Savatage WAS AS GOOD AS ANYBODY! The composition and orchestration was super caliber. They still tour, sometimes with, sometimes with out john oliva. Im hoping they come to Atlanta. My good friend at Crimson Glory knows these guys and is trying to get them here for me.

  • i believe in this band they rock -believe in this song!!

  • When did Criss die? that sucks to hear that...Just found out today:o(..bummer..One of the great subtle christian bands!....

  • So I plot and I plan

And I hope and I scheme

To the lure of a night

    Filled with unfinished dreams

    And I'm holding on tight

    To a world gone astray

As they charge me for years

    I can't pay!!!

  • 2:10-2:56 RAWK!

  • if God listens to rock n roll, he loves savatage....

  • i have the chills ...doesn't matter how many times i hear this

  • MASTERPIECE

  • The ole question, if you were on a deserted island and could only have 1 album for the rest of your life..... This would be it! Criss always was and always be my favorite guitar player. R.I. P. man

  • Probably the only band ever that could make a piano sound metal. Nothing sappy or bubblegum about Savatage. I have always loved these guys.

  • One of the greatest albums of all-time, in my top 10. Thanks.

  • 'Perhaps god gave the answers to those with nothing to say'

That line cracks me up while at the same time giving me hope (that there might be people with the answers:-)

And it reminds me of The Hitchhiker's Guide TTG, where unfortunately, in the moment that girl thought of the answer to life, universe etc, the earth was blown up...;-)

Just thoughts running through my head, I LOVE this, forever!

And to me, this is not religious at all (as I don´t believe in god...), still has tons of meaning

  • great song of savatage! My favorite song of Savatage is Summer's Rain, Beautiful yet heavy

  • This song is about redemption.

  • the tortured soul of jon oliva will never be matched. The man is pure genius

  • Did Criss ever get to play this live? As far as I know, he was so ridiculously taken from the world right when Streets was released..Am I wrong?

  • @Youthinkyoucanplay Streets was released in 1991 and Criss died at oct. 17 1993,

so he toured in support of this album but also made an other one" Edge of Thorns" also Believe i have read was one of his favourite songs hence it shares some lyrics with Alone you Breath which is a song written about him after his death by his brother the great Jon Oliva. What a masterpiece this is... the solo and the lyrics are beyond describing in any fucking words....

  • This song is one of the best rock songs out there, Savatage just do it for me.

  • RESPECT

  • That made me tear up.

  • A big hug JO, I BELIEVE IN YOUR MEMORY .... Take care MAN!

  • There is a cover version on TSO's "Night Castle". Jon's version is superior, but maybe it will make people look for the original after hearing TSO's version.

  • I heard this song for the first time last year at the Philly show, and heard it for a second time this year on 11/21. I really liked Hockenberry's version. You're right, I started to look around for the original, this is special.

  • amazing voice and guitar

  • EXCELLENT!! love this song!!

  • Absolutely epic!

  • i cry every time....

  • @moatazabaza,it's such an amazing album..

  • @moatazabaza You're right A real Masterpiece!!!

  • Believe is the greatest song about Faith and true love!!!

  • @quetedelavie totally.... it takes 1 act of kindness to spread like fire. jon hit it on the head

  • Just perfect...true

  • Somewhere in time is an unbelievable song.

Savatage MOST UNDERRATED band of the universe, along with glorious White Lion.

  • Savatage and Triumph are the two most underrated bands in Music History...Both bands helped pioneer their respective genre's. Rather people want to accept it or not, Savatage helped pave the way for the Death Metal in the early 80's. Their debut Sirens is considered by many to be the very first ever Death Metal album...

  • My best...

  • the thing about savatage, theres so much truth in the music it gets into your soul and all of it grows on you

  • Just perfect....

  • Sometimes I'll get bored with the music I know and I wonder if there's anything great out there left to discover, then I find something like this.. THANK GOD

  • This is among the best tracks I've ever heard.

  • I need this every day!!

  • this song is so emotional.....

  • how on earth can this group go so unnoticed. they have so many fine songs.

They are the founders of Trans-Siberian Orchestra

  • that's unfair bro......but dont worry...those who know the whole history of Savatage they are true Metalers......[in my opinion]

  • Sorry: I wouldn't call myself a true Metaler - I however like Savatage a lot! It's simply great music with deep lyrics.

Perhaps I should thank my oldest friend who introduced me to their music :)

  • Savatage is the most underated band man.....if Criss hadn't died Savatage would be inside every single person's heart...

  • true.

  • Actually, Jon Oliva is the only one from Savatage that has anything to do with TSO. He also has his own band called Jon Olivas Pain. But I agree that they went unnoticed. They had a fanbase, for sure, but they weren't widely known like Metallica etc.

And SavaFun, Savatage is inside my heart and always will be whether Criss had died or not. I know that the songs written in his memory were some of the best that Savatage ever did.

  • Jon has nothing to do with TSO anymore...

Caffery's a HUGE part of TSO though, along with Skolnick [temporary member; Handful of Rain]

Plate ["new" drummer] was pulled from TSO.

Johnny Lee of course as well, he's on the east coast section of TSO with Caffery and co.

Oh, I almost forgot Pitrelli, he was pulled into the 'Tage from TSO similar to Jeff... He's lead guitars on the west.

Jon only did the keyboards for a couple of their songs, but never plays with them live that I've seen...

  • Every day is special with you my love.

    You've changed my whole world!!!!!!!!!

I love you i love you i love you i love you i love you i love you!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • What can I tell you my love? for this very special day I send you two special songs instead of one.. you are the brightest star up in heavens..I love you so much..
