wow i love this song. great cover. i love every song that the pogues do but often i enjoy hearing a different voice to switch it up. shane is a genius (he didn't write this) but the fact remains. i still do enjoy hearing other peoples takes on it and this is a good version of this song
Nice version. "Where we go we celebrate the land that makes us refugees, with a fear of priests, and empty plates, of guilt and weeping effigy's" What a line.
I like your version, but I think Wowbagger is getting a bit carried away. MacGowan's version is the definative article. His voice just brings life to it. Chevron on vocals made the song sound a bit sparse in my opinion (even though he penned it).
Wonderfull! I have heard Shane Macgowan sing it with The Pogues, then Philip Chevron, and now you... seems to be some kind of progression ending with you ;) Just a amazing performance! :)

Like your laid back version. I think it works well even without the bells and whistles. The sign of a good song. Well played.

Thanks. I am with you on that, it is a great song.
I like your version to, never sure what to do at "and they dance"
but l like the way you played it.
I'm surprised it hasn't been back in the charts.
