  • mmmmm what a voice

  • AMAZING! it takes me to another dimension, I can feel ...

  • @VerveVixen She dedicated this song to the the Karate Kid; Daniel Larusso :] She admits she used to have a crush on him, apparently, and still does. Shoot, I can't blame her ^^

  • she is my major girl crush!!

  • My God she's beautiful. Radiant!

  • This version is SO much better than the album version and she is absolutely adorable. Love this song

  • Just lovely!

  • classic voice of an angel. just love it :).

  • Can words describe this?

  • super cute

  • Really appreciate this-- thank you. She definitely has the ether.

  • Wow speechless plain amazing her voice and instruments

  • What kind of Instrument is this at 0.08 ?

  • She is the most beautiful creature I've ever laid eyes on.

  • @supermajo16 wtf ?

  • love it!

  • A real interesting artist, so fascinating and charming! It means talents never die, it is hard today to discover them! No magazine where you can read about and go deep in the discover! Heard of them on Rockstar (italian magazine), I was impressed and listened to them!

  • her voice is beautiful.

  • She's quite beautiful

  • You'd never know this is live. I love her, all her songs and her creativity is great.

  • ya encargue el album ! hoy!

  • me encanta la cantidad d instrumentos diferentes y raros q usan

  • While I adore the album version of this song, nothing really compares to the live studio versions like this one. Her voice really shines with the stripped down instrumental.

  • wow her looks really remind me of lily allen. This video is awesome :)))

  • freakin' talented both of them!!

  • well i love the whole album, her voice is enchanting. the only question is where can i procure a marxophone!

  • this is one of the most sensual songs ive ever heard. when i first heard it i wanted to fuck it. im kinda dissapointed though because so far the other songs of theirs ive listened to dont compare (at least for me) dont mean to piss anyone off but if u got any suggestions lemme know.

  • simple brilliance. <3

  • mmm, zajebiste...

  • I'm blown away her voice is soothing to the ears.

    I love bat for lashes!!!1

  • just amazing ! I'm slightly shocked, they so inspiring and so moving.

  • This is what musics about for me. She creates a completely unique vibe. It's like her own world. I can't put my finger on it... but it inspires me like nothing else. It's almost spiritual!

  • Brilliant performance!

I'm a musician and I want a marxoharp now so badly! But you can't buy them new anymore! And there's practically none on ebay...

  • She has that strange ability of making you feel that you just arrived in another dimension of the universe

  • These vintage instruments, Natasha's deeply magnificent ocean-like vocals and the sophisticated beat make this sound like a modern interpretation of a medieval tale.

  • @bellbottomed Bravo.Yes i agree this completly justified and right comment. ;-)

  • The 6 "people" that don't like this are SADISTS.

  • She's so cute!

  • Wow! That was awesome!

  • Great live version. :)

  • wow

  • She's so fucking hot, and she wrote a song for me.

  • love love love this version

  • who is daniel?????????????????

  • @TheAlejandro004 most people say its in reference to the karate kid's daniel. if you watch the official music video the guy at the end its like a daniel clone hahaha

  • @TheAlejandro004

    I am.

  • @TheAlejandro004 The original Karate Kid

  • i like to truly make love to this angel natasha...

  • if natasha and byork and portishead make a song together wow.......

  • @eStefresco I knnnoooowww, i wish

  • @pharrellfan hahaha on the reals bro

  • Damn, these guys are awesome live, am i the only one who thinks shes gorgeous in a weird way? :) Theres a Dubstep version on my channel by Mt Eden, i think its good but it depends what mood i'm in, i listen to this when i wanna chill

  • she really sounds more like Kate Bush than Bjork- but her voice is more sensual than either- or maybe sleepier... Maybe a little Cat Power thrown in there? In any case, lovely stuff.

  • she is sweet

  • I wish they would release this version. Wonderful!

  • as she gets closer to that mic, it kinda feels like she is trying to get closer to my ear, and whisper!!! luv that voice... NICE!!!

  • This is the song of the year for me, it makes me feel really high, i travelled around Costa Rica with this in my ears and prepare myself for competitions! So peacefull! Thanks guys

  • Do not compare Bjork and Natasha. Both GREAT!

  • @namaste1986 her voice is similar to Bjork but better. Her voice is gorgeous

  • @smilingrobbie Her voice is NOT better than Bjorks, lmfao.

  • @omgaw

Sorry, buddy, but I'm seriously going to have to disagree with you. I respect Bjork as an artist, but her little scandinavian chipmunk voice is one of the most annoying voices/accents I've ever heard. I think Bjork can try a little hard at times, too.

Natasha's voice is really soothing, classically beautiful, and anything but grating.

Bjork's voice is what I'd expect out of and underdeveloped icelandic girl. Natasha's voice is a woman's voice.

  • Dude truly you don't listen to Bjork becasue if you have then you would clearly know that Tasha has nothing on the projection and power of Bjork. Honestly, both of them are in a class seperate from each other, but we all agree to disagree - bottomline at least we are are likeminded in what we listen to becasue the shit on the radio is heartwrenching...by the way, Peter Gabriel has a killer new album out---

  • @DamericeJason. Obviously you have been smoking crack, or taking some other drug such as LSD that causes delusional side effects. Remember that this performance is LIVE. You put up a video of any other female performer such as Bjork producing any comparable LIVE example of talent and I will retract my statements. Until then I would suggest you "wake up and smell the coffee".

  • i wanna see her live again

  • grate stuff!

  • She is the new Bjork... i love it

  • I love her voice

  • An incredible live performance from a real Talented Artist.

Check out my page and let me know what you think of "Denial".

    Peace and Love.

  • Amazing!

  • superbe, minimaliste et efficace, bravo!!!

  • This girl is the shit! And great beats and lyrics and if it is to dark for you than go listen to Britney spears! Her voice is beautiful and a way you can tell is when someone can sing an a Capella with no other background music and it still sounds amazing. With all the great girl bands around like LadyHawke, Metric, The Kills, I would say thisis the best album. The next best albums are Broken Bells and the EELs End times. In my younger days is a classic for anyone who has ever loved there dog!

  • enthrilling;had to make that word

  • OMG thats her voice live??, shes amazing!

  • awesome. marxophone!

  • I heard them in Bogota before coldplay show and they just left everyone speechless... just awesome

  • llegaron a bogota?

  • Comment removed

  • I love Bat for Lashes.. but this versions has a very freak sound because of the combination from a Yamaha Workstation that organ rhodes (I don't know) and the other metal piano (I don't know that name either)..

I preffer the normal version.. strange for me because I always like new versions or the acoustic versions..

Anyway.. what a great voice, nose, eyes and face she have..

  • it is a marxophone

  • does anyone recognize that drum machine?? its looks and even sounds like the BOSS DR-110, but its not :/

  • Comment removed

  • omg, perfect!

  • her voice; angel

  • I never heard about them, a friend told me to listen this song and damn it's just amazing, really nice, good job people

  • I found a hole in your eyes... etwas kommerziell - aber sehr schön!! When I won in the dark... Bobo and wild wouden horses...

  • absolute bliss.

  • haunting

  • So glad that they are just as good live as on recordings! Beautiful :D

    Charming Thieves

  • @CharmingThieves, no no.. they're even better live XD

  • Her voice is so clear and beautiful

  • its the sound of hope to my ears

  • Saugeil!

  • Absolut! :)

  • Beautiful song. I love the various instruments used and her voice is so clear and soothing.

  • her voice is amazing it lifts me up and I'm floating

  • Hang on....i'll just pick myself up off the floor!!!!!

    Simply beautiful.

  • mt edens remix of this song is sik xD

  • How can one not be infatuated with her?

  • Beautiful Woman

    Beautiful song

  • That Marxophone thing is intriguing..

  • @allrain Agreed.I totally enjoy seeing how all the instrumental pieces come together...especially against her beautiful vocals.

  • It is a testament to her ability when you read the comments on any of the videos online. The usual sexual references etc are not there. It is a sign of respect. Watch some of her interviews and you will see how she projects herself as a true woman. Natasha will never reach the fame of some other so-called artists, which is a real shame. When it comes to talent and raw ability, there is nobody comparable. I always judge a musicians ability on how they sound live. These guys are flawless. Unreal.

  • And when I say comparable, I mean other artists such as Brittney Spears etc. I also love the concept of including the Marxaphone and Harmonium. Natasha bought the Marxaphone while in New York. This has to be one of the best sounding live versions of a song I have ever heard. Riveting and hard to only listen to once.

  • Couldn't of said it better my self.

  • @PoxDoctor these guys? Bat for lashes is a pseudonym for Natasha Khan, she doesn't have a contracted band.

  • @PoxDoctor It should still be mentioned that she is hot. as. fuck.

  • @PoxDoctor I Agree 100%, Natashas' character demands respect.

  • couldn't agree with you more :) well said

  • @PoxDoctor: "I always judge a musicians ability on how they sound live."

That's an inadequate way to judge. Performance is one aspect of musicianship. A person can be an excellent composer, and each performer can even be great individually, and the group can sound bad live. The only ability that you can judge based on how well they perform live is how well they perform live.

  • @PoxDoctor

There are plenty comparable. Better even.

    Calm down in your praise.

  • @PoxDoctor

Agreed, but I would still like to give her one, especially in that video where she's wearing a tight, black jumpsuit ;)

  • @PoxDoctor This is really awesome, but I can't help but mention that this isn't exactly live. People keep calling it live, but studio live and live are definitely two different things. The studio is a completely controlled environment whereas a live act would be less perfect. It might as well be on an album.

  • @micahszabo Yeah I totally agree, except, live wouldn't be less perfect in this case, if you watch her sing this song on Letterman...oh my god it's the best live performance I've ever seen, as clean as studio but with more heart, flawless.

  • @PoxDoctor id love to lick her where her eyes dont meet me

    oh those perky tits

  • @PoxDoctor yeaaa and no. not sure if i totally agree with you about the raw ability part....

  • @allrain--- Henry Charles Marx (1875-1947), the founder of the company, obtained the original patent, #1044553, in 1912, for the mechanism on which the Marxophone and the related Celestaphone were based

  • GAHH SO MUCH WIN.

  • they're not her hands :)

  • i cant wait to see them on monterrey next 11th march =D

  • this is truly the most beautiful version I've ever heard of this song...

    such an impressive voice o.o

  • Shido

  • does anyone know what drum machine she is using at the start????

  • Looks like the Yamaha QY-70

  • Thank you !!!!! :)

  • Wonderful song and well played.

  • I like how when he sings "with my arms around your neck" she squeezes her fist. Dangerous.

  • To add to that, she has really sharp looking nails.

  • Third post in a row, but you know what, I just rewatched this and realized she actually doesn't do either of those things. My doctor took me off some pills recently and I've been pretty much effectively seeing things. The first time, it honestly looked like her nails were a fucking inch long.

  • i love you Natasha, you always give me chills

  • her timing is impeccable - her pitch is perfect - she is a unique and gifted talent. You go girl.

  • Natasha <3 <3 <3

  • she is sublime...the real deal.

  • I love how well she gets those high notes.

  • did anybody else find it extremely sexy when she started playing the keys with one hand not looking? hahaha

  • very, very nice piece of music.

  • She's really talented but I don't preferably like this song..

  • BRILLIANT!!i love how different this song is played in this way, like the songs twin.

What kind of instrument is the guy playing right at the beginning before he switches to the marxophone?

  • I love how the singer's natural accent bleeds through in these type of performances compared to on album or for audiences

  • GREAT PERFORMANCE

  • what a number.....

  • does anybody know what the circular object in front of her mic is for?

  • It's a popfilter. It there to reduce the s-sounds and breathing noises.

  • pop screen. prevents "plosives" which can cause a burst of volume

  • i absolutely adore this version and performance, i can't stop watching it

  • I can't put my finger on what it is I like so much about this, but - this is haunting.

  • she beat Lily Allen!!! Lily Allen is done making music for now. probably because Bat for Lashes is SOOO Much better. Bat for Lashes pwnd Lily hard

  • Does she normally play piano? She looks unnatural at it, though it could be just because she didn't have much to play...

  • Yes, she does. You should check out some of her live performances of "Siren Song", "Horse and I" or "Moon and Moon". She's an amazing artist.

  • Yes, she does usually play the piano.

  • Well, it's a keyboard. Which can synthesize OR double as a piano, or make a lot of other noises, for that matter.

But it doesn't matter what it is. I was just stating that she doesn't look natural/comfortable playing it.

  • A synthesizer can also reproduce the sound of strings but i wouldn't be calling it a violin in that case ;)

  • !!! Superb! Recording !!!

  • the Marxophone?! my god I thought i'd never see that in music today. that organ is awesome though. anyone know what kind it is?

  • ammmmmmmaaaaaaaaaaaazing recording. high five!!!!!!!!!!

  • amazing recording, much beter than the album track

  • it's just you odeth68

  • She is following the drums, it's just that the clap sound is louder than normal, and probably louder than it should be, but she is following the drums. The clap sound is supposed to be syncopated and contrast the with the beat of the music, although its more present than normal.

  • ok, thanks, it just seemed weird to me. the rest of the song is great though
