I think y'all barely scratched the surface with this review. But I agree with the District 9 love, glad it was nominated for the oscar. (an I enjoyed it more than i did Avatar).

Transformers is popcorn cinema, you shouldnt excpect that much. I found it very entertaining and I cant really understand the harsh critism of the cgi effects, they are really not that bad.
The sound design was sleek, the effects were amazing, the score was awesome, Peter Cullen is bad ass, the forrest fight was kick ass, some of the action was okay, Shia was decent, Megan Fox was hot, but the rest... Was TEEEEEEEEERIBBLE! So no its not the worst movie ever made, that honor goes to Tommy Wiseaus "The Room". :)

Watch the adaptation of Transformers: The War Within, its made on a zero budget but its true to the spirit of the Transformers comics, which are character driven and focus on the Transformers.
Bay does not get that the Transformers are SENTIENT robots. They are robots that transform into cars, but Bay thinks they are cars that transform into robots. Big difference. The whole point of the TFs is that they are "everymen", including the Decepticons, robot pastiches of humans.
I did enjoy it because of the explosions and fighting robots.

I was really hoping you guys would comment on how horrid Sam's character became in this movie. As a Transformers fan since the mid 90's, I have to say that this movie dealt a solid blow to the groin of the fanbase. There have been some REALLY GOOD incarnations of Transformers, but despite that, Michael Bay succeeded in sending us the message that he does not like Transformers and that he's only in it because of the paycheck. "A stupid toy movie" indeed.

Personally, I thought the robots themselves looked good, but the effects with them in it sped by so quickly that the audience can't help but to view them all as merely props that speak.

Before you go pretending to yell a ridiculous message of, "YOU GUYS ARE ASSHOLES THIS MOVIE WAS AWEOSME," you should consider two things:
1. Why did these critics dislike the movie? Were their reasons justified?
2. Should I give reasons why I did like it instead of acting like a douche?
Both answers should be yes. You can redeem yourself by doing exactly that, but you'll probably just type in caps lock at me.

I think y'all barely scratched the surface with this review. But I agree with the District 9 love, glad it was nominated for the oscar. (an I enjoyed it more than i did Avatar).
Ive previously joked around saying that hasbro needs to pull the reigns of their properties, though Gi Joe was just as dumb as TF2, atleast I didnt feel insulted.

Transformers is popcorn cinema, you shouldnt excpect that much. I found it very entertaining and I cant really understand the harsh critism of the cgi effects, they are really not that bad.

The sound design was sleek, the effects were amazing, the score was awesome, Peter Cullen is bad ass, the forrest fight was kick ass, some of the action was okay, Shia was decent, Megan Fox was hot, but the rest... Was TEEEEEEEEERIBBLE! So no its not the worst movie ever made, that honor goes to Tommy Wiseaus "The Room". :)

Watch the adaptation of Transformers: The War Within, its made on a zero budget but its true to the spirit of the Transformers comics, which are character driven and focus on the Transformers.
Bay does not get that the Transformers are SENTIENT robots. They are robots that transform into cars, but Bay thinks they are cars that transform into robots. Big difference. The whole point of the TFs is that they are "everymen", including the Decepticons, robot pastiches of humans.

I did enjoy it because of the explosions and fighting robots.
However, I do agree with your review on how retarded the movie is. The humor was completely unnecessary, plot feels (and is probably) rushed, and the characters are unbelievably retarded and useless.

Essentially, this movie is what happens when Michael Bay is given a blank check to do whatever he wants. And the result is explosions, more explosions and still more explosions, with blatant stereotpyes and shitty acting thrown in. Plot? Sorry, Bay doesn't know the meaning of plot.
$200 million and this is the result. $200 million. In a recession climate, that much money got wasted on this shit.

How many times did you watch this movie. You sound like you only watched it once. I watched it about 7 times to analyze it correctly. One, if you take a moment to study the robot models they are actually better graphics then the last movie. Two, you didn't even know the main characters name. You rushed this review and didn't analyze it properly. What happened to reviews like your revenge of the sith one. Where's the details in this review.

I was really hoping you guys would comment on how horrid Sam's character became in this movie. He acts weird to his girlfriend, he won't just tell that stupid bimbo to fuck off; it's like he had his balls cut off or something. I mean almost every one of the college scenes was awful, including the mother eating pot brownies and the weird kid who shared his room. The trailer I saw for this was SO making me wanna see this. Now that I'm watching it, I feel like I was betrayed somehow...

I think the point they were making was the Transformers CGI was cartoonish. Pixar animation, while extremely good, does not pass for realistic.

There are a lot of shitty and unescessary stuff in this movie. however, i fucking loved the new versions of Soundwave, Ravage, the Constructicons, Devastator and of course the epic old man, Jetfire.
Megan Fox is HOT as hell, but she is a bad actress, except for three parts of this movie.

Michael Bay is the equivalent to AIDS in the movie business...for all you Bay fanboys out there here's what you got:
- Ghetto robots
- Giant robot testicles
- Slow motion
- Humans
- No story
- Terrible humor
That said, the only ray of light in the movie I thought was Jetfire, he was a true badass, and he actually had more than three lines of dialogue, so naturally he's killed off.

As a Transformers fan since the mid 90's, I have to say that this movie dealt a solid blow to the groin of the fanbase. There have been some REALLY GOOD incarnations of Transformers, but despite that, Michael Bay succeeded in sending us the message that he does not like Transformers and that he's only in it because of the paycheck. "A stupid toy movie" indeed.
And the audiences just lapped it up.

I absolutely agree with you, but I'm not sure what you meant by "you hated the effects." Can you please clarify for me? Personally, I thought the robots themselves looked good, but the effects with them in it sped by so quickly that the audience can't help but to view them all as merely props that speak.

I actually watched the film twice, trying my best to make sense of all the plotholes, and I can say first hand, there is no way to make sense of it. The only thing that I'm not entirely sure about is that whole, Only a prime can kill a prime thing. 1. I don't think the special effects were bad or worse than the first one.

I don't know what you guys were talking about, the special effects were nothing short of amazing in the second film, I couldn't follow any of the action in the 1st one because they effects were so bad. This time around I could follow all the action, which was quite epic. This movie was made to entertain with action and great special effects, which it did very well, I like you guys, but this was just a fail of a review.
