i hate how people don´t realize that linux is NOT one operating system. the linux core is the base of all linux operatingsystems, Ubuntu, slackware, suse, redahat and fedora to name a few. and that your computer doesent have to run windows to be a pc, pc = personal computer, A.K.A. something that is ment for one user being the average guy. the first pc was a mac! so suck on that

actually if you want to get technical the first PC was called Simon introduced in 1950 made by Edmund Berkeley.. but you are correct in that all computer companys rip each other and call it a new idea.

Okej, you are right. Apple was not the first ones to make a pc but it is however who made the first successful one is debatable. And so is wat is a pc and wat is not.

For me a pc is something made for average-Joe. The so called "first computer" eniac for example was not a pc since it was not made for Average-Joe.
