The public knew Shalamar's sound because Leon created their sound around Jody and her unique tone (pre-Howard). Being loud does not a better singer make. Hell nah that ain't Jody or Delisa Davis(the one that replaced Jody) back in '84. This is SUPERWHACKED. Jody is also a vital part of Shalamar. I cannot understand why Howard,Jeffrey and Jody put aside their differences and make a comeback album and tour. It would definately sell out. Fo sho.

Carolyn Griffey (long time friend and fan of the original band, and daughter of Shalamar founder Dick Griffey). - wikipedea... and it wasnt really a reunion performance, it was for an "american idol like" contest show with old music acts... viewers voted for their fav to win hence the tel# @ 3:27. i was disappointed that shalamar didnt win
