I own a Bach Strad. s37 and honestly I had to purchase a Schilke x3 to get the response I wanted from the horn. I love my schilke, it requires a great supply of air to produce a great sound. The switch is a little tough at first but long tones get you up to shape. I truley recommend Any schilke trumpet to anyone looking for a true professional horn.

If i got drunk , then took a brillo pad to my bach strad, I'd end up with a crappy looking horn like this.

I never did like all that interconnective metal webbing between the loops, makes me wanna dent the hell out of it with a pellet gun

I have been playing the trumpet for over 30 years. In my opinion Calicchio makes the finest trumpets and flugelhorns. I am going all Calicchio. My Calicchio 3/9 large bore trumpet is the finest horn that I have ever played and I love it. Each of us should play what works the best for our individual needs. I prefer Calicchio over Monette, but if you like David's horns great, play them. I say try as many horns as you can , then you will know what works the best for your individual needs. MIKEY
