  • KAI(or loc;)) do this one again pleeeees!! For me! :)

  • thank you found this helpfull to the highest degree

  • Comment removed

  • Is the D90 still worth it? :\ Help

  • @failureatphotography Yes it is!

  • @failureatphotography : yes it is :)

  • Kai came late that why he is not here yet. Look at the upload date compared to other videos by DigRev.

  • D90 or D3100?

    It's doing my head in.

  • @MrAmazingmagic11 take the D90!

I have had the D3100 for 2 months now and it is very slow in low light though set with the high iso mode!

D90 can take all the good lenses and also the DX lenses I think!!

No motor for lenses in the D3100 like a nikkor 85 1.8!

  • wow! i can't believe that this is actually a Digital Rev video !

we are so much used to watching kai all the time ... haha

    btw, superb review!

  • what's that ugly white plastic on it?

  • kai was a wee lad at this time

  • is he the stig?

  • Nikon D90 is amazing.

    Buy it!

    buy it!

    Buy it!

    <3

  • this or canon t2i?

  • @Ro0m309 this.

  • @Ro0m309 d90

  • Eu tenho uma canon T3i, mas queria uma D90

  • a normal review video without that annoying british japanese guy! finally!

  • @AmitMusicStaz He's Chinese hence it's in Hong Kong; I suppose all Asians look alike to you.

  • @supercooled you can't blame me..

  • I thought I was watching Autocar for a bit

  • thanks

  • where's kai???!!!

  • @kiangkianggta havent work at DR

  • I don't know to buy the EOS 550D or the Nikon D90. Which should I buy?

  • @LuftfahrtFan this has much better high ISO performance

  • @LuftfahrtFan if you are a serious photographer D90 will be better for you. but if you love to take many casual photos then 550D will be better but yet they are very close to each other and you cant say which one is better or worse. they both are awesome. but 550D is cheaper

  • @LuftfahrtFan nikon

  • 0:40

he does say Nikon Nee Dinety right? :S or am i hearing things...

  • look like the lens heavy than d90 itself ~

  • I love my D90 its something I don't regret! I don't use video very much. live views good for shots where you can't exactly get a good look through the view finder.

crimsoninhumanblood@deviantart find some samples here of it :D

  • Canon 550D is best..

  • What have you done with LOK (and that other bloke)?

  • Your intro song is the same as Autocars....

  • intro song????

  • is the footage only limited to 5 mins due to the size of the memory card you have in there? say you had a 16gb card surely it would film longer?

  • @ashjonesnwpb

    No it wouldnt

  • I can't really figure the usefulness of the video feature if you have to manually focus etc. I just got my D90 but I doubt I will even use that much touted feature. If I want to take vids I will get a dedicated video camera.

  • which combination would produce better pictures the nikon d90 with a 15-55 VR nikkor lens or a nikon d3100 with a 15-105 VR nikkor lens

  • nikon d3100 or nikon d90?in terms of imagine quality

  • @NAGULNR2 I THINK D90 IS BETTER

  • how can you compare nikon d90 to nikon d3100 ? I want to buy dslr camera and which do you recommend ? pls help and thanks !

  • @MrBorgie13 D90

  • I love this :)

  • HD vid recording is just a bonus

  • impressive HD vid feature except for its plastic body which is noticebly the downside of it. The cam itself look so amature in size. Overall its OK though. They should have made it more sturdy for ergonomics considerations. I'd rather have Nikon D90.

  • I like sex

  • @TheForge10 good for you.

  • CF card?

  • @JaniceWLV sd or sdhc

  • stupid light that turns on when you auto focus i hate it!!!!!!!!!!!! can u disable it some how?

  • @msfingerboarder12345 you use that light to autofocus in dark/dim conditions.

That one little light in one of the big pluses against canon cameras...

If you want to not be able to focus in dark conditions turn it off in the custom settings menu. I'd leave it on.

  • Hoo Ray , for the Lens Hood ... :D

Btw , can you stop spinning the D90 , for like 10RPM @@

    it's making me dizzy

  • if i remember correctly, our naked eyes will be fooled into a motion with 50fps in normal lighting. in cinema tho, the dark lighting environment makes it easier to fool the eyes at only 24fps.

  • can it shoot video??

  • @greivinrojas506 Do you even read the descriptions? and what the guy says???

it can shoot up to 720p format , but sucks to handheld it :X

  • which is better, nikon D90 or the canon 50D?

I'm thinking of buying a DSLR as a gift for my brother's graduation.

I just can't choose between the two.

If you guys have either D90 or the 50D, please tell me which one to buy.

  • @youtoolgofckurself Go for the Nikon. I have one myself (a D90) and I'm very satisfied with it. Besides, Nikon has the brightest lenses out there.

  • is the 18-105 vr lens good enough? or i should buy another one like 18-200? pls help..

  • I have a Nikon d60 and I want upgrade to D90, but there is rumor that Nikon D90s is coming

  • I really need help on choosing a camera. Im choosing the Nikon d90 for its image quality and the Canon T1i for its video quality. Which one should i choose?

  • i would recommend the d90 beacause you want a camera and not a camcorder!

  • @Piacco2706 honestly though, i have a canon eos t2i, which records 1920 x 1080 full hd. It also takes amazing photos in 18 mp RAW+jpeg with an iso of 100-6400 expandable to 12800. I LOVE it. and, in a kit with a 18-55mm and a 55-250mm telephoto zoom, it was cheaper than the kit in this video.

  • D90 you will love the second command dial and easy access w/,b iso, image quality, ect

  • if you have the money for it, go with the canon 7d both the pictures and video are AMAZING

but both the d90 and t1i have great video but the nikon is slightly a better choice for pictures

  • porn-shoot music in the backgrund :D

  • which is better for publicity Nikon D90 12.3 mp or Canon 50 D 15 mp pros and cons sharp, tones, please need the info.

  • that cameras longer and bigger than my foot :P

  • Does any body know how to change the AF around to be able to have control of where you want to focus even if it is off center?

  • well for me i think for HD movie i go for 5d mark 2 rock solid..

  • The original speaking in Japanese is CALL "LI KONG" NOT NY KON, os the video hots speaks the name in correct and right!

  • oh what really? LOL i work at a camera retail and the nikon representative even pronounces it "nykon" IM A NOOB!

  • both are correct, in fact.

  • absolutely d90

  • Thanks bro, Why?

  • Which camera do you prefer, Nikon D5000 or Nikon D90?

    Please reply all

  • 3 things sucks on d90 no cf slot and no dual memory card slot and the manually adjust in video mode

  • which one of these is better nikon D40, nikon D3000 or Canon EOS 500D or Canon EOS 50D?

  • i prefer a d40 or d3000 (im planning on going with a d3000, because i work at best buy and we dont sell the d40 anymore)

plus im a nikon guy, all a good cameras tho

  • if you're getting SLR, go nikon. better quality

  • he can feel a differt of 35g

    xD

  • is this recomended for beginer?

  • Is this better than the 50D? or this is worse? which one would u suggest?

  • I have a d60. I also have a 18-55 vr and a 55-200 vr. Do you think it would be better to buy the d90 without the kit lens and keep my 18-55 and 55-200 or just pay 300 bucks more and get the 18-103 vr kit?

  • Just Buy the body only the lenses you have are fine for the nikon d90

  • If you're willing to pay 300 more, I would get the 18-105 because it's a fun lens to play around with. But the bad thing is that it wont zoom as much as the 55-200. It just depends on your budget. Because 55-200 is a great lens too.

  • the beginning reminds me to much of shane dawson..

  • No that intro tune is from sxephil

  • this camera isnt small compared to the d60

  • is it a big difference compard to d60?

  • WTF, his hands can detect a difference of 35grams?

  • hahahahahaha, loll

  • lol.. he has the new weight system.. hahaha

  • of course not he looked at those things before the video

  • The size of that manual scares me!Does this guy have small hands or is camera huge?LoL

  • lol..yeah this guys hands' actually makes the camera look real big

  • Who wants to use this video recording feature anyways. I got the D90 and never use it. :D

  • if you want to record HD video go out and buy a HD camcorder... not this...

  • That's what I did. I got the HF100. Very happy with it.

  • congratz~ lol *throws confetti*

  • @azn1221 neh unless you get a big professional one a DSLR camera with HD recording will be much better than a camcorder because of the BIG sensor the DSLR camera has.

  • @timoxomit well its obviously going to look bettter with a dslr but it just depends on what your going to film

  • Weird and bizarre that people hatefully frantically press the thumbs down button on the utter bona fide carved in stone indisputable fact that the D90 has an intense rolling shutter problem.

Not very factual or scientific, your average uu-tyooob crowd...

  • how much dose it cost in pounds ?

  • how does the gps work?

  • you need to but the optional gps unit for it to work n basicly all it does is tag where our photos are taken. ^_^

  • This is the kit i got :D

  • how much is the d90 AUD?

  • oppss~~~~ my bad, XD

  • i have a d90. but rarely use the video mode. bought it because it has the same censor as d300. =)

  • The movie mode on this camera is useless. If you want to capture video, get a camcorder. Don't count on capturing good quality video with this camera.

  • Thanks a lot for the info. You're helping me in chosing a camera lol

  • i currently ahve a d60... i will be upgrading to a d90 asap!!!

  • hey is anyone can tell me how many hours can make videos on nikon D90 plssssssssssss

    tnx

  • Watch the video.. It will literally tell you.

  • 5 Minutes at a time.

  • My friend bought one of these and barely uses it, gahh. I'd kill to have a D90

  • are all d90 made in thailand?

  • I cannot WAIT to get my Nikon D90!

  • me neither! just a few days from now :D

  • Damn Guys i must say i took some video's of the Bahrain GP F1 Race and the D90 Video quality = spectacular its like Moving pictures its That Amazing

  • Im goona buy d90

  • Great job ! I've seen several reviews and you are the first to mention the fisheye effect in retouch menu. Thanks

  • Thanks a lot, this is a really helpful review.

  • thanks

  • I own a nikon D90 and its fantastic

  • hi-5!

  • X2 :D great DSLR

  • wow nikon built is the best ive seen it is like a tank d90 is expensive

  • I'm not planning on upgrading my baby D50 anytime soon-- I'd like to, but I don't think the image quality is there to justify the cost yet for me. I'd rather work on my own skills and since I don't make a living from photography (yet) I'm using what I have. Get better lenses if anything.

  • why are all these random comments voted down?

  • I don't get it. The Nikon D60 is an awesome camera, I'm holding one right now. The D90 is a higher quality DSLR with better features (Duh). But the camera you buy depends on your income and what you look for in a camera. I'm saving up to buy one of these.

  • What is the best linse for D90 if I wanna work at macro, landscape, creative, city ??? I'm midle level photograph...Before I had a Fuji, now wanna at next level to go ))) thanks , and sory for my hilarious english )

  • should i get the Sony A200 or Nikon D60?

    Thanks.

  • nikon. but not nikon d60. better d200 (ebay!) or d90

  • Love My D90. worth it for image quality not video.

  • Forget about the video recording. Rolling shutter problem makes anything that moves jiggle like YOU_WOULD_NOT_BELIEVE. Yes, it is *THAT* bad.

24 fps is also unacceptable slow.

  • No my friend, 24fps is enough. It's a cinematic standard even.

The problem must be the (way of) capturing I guess.

Still DSRL aren't made for video-recording.

  • No my friend, 24fps is NOT enough. The cinematic standard is bullshit. It is ancient and based on cost.

I've had a lot of arguments with other "cine buffs" and it's always the same story. Their religion is what it is, just a belief. It doesn't matter how much proof I throw in your face about the carved in stone, bona fide, indisputable fact that 60fps looks much better than 24fps, you will say otherwise.

  • Actually, I will not say otherwise. I need to say that I was referring to the fact the brain starts to see images as 'moving' when u reach 24fps. So I do have to protest . 24 IS enough. Some just want more and better :p

In the gaming-industry they're taking 60fps into account when making a game. For these reasons and it's true, 60fps looks much better than 24.

:-) U didn't expect this answer did ya.

I rarely come on youtube, hence my late answer. I apologize therefore.

    Take care!

  • In order for 24 fps to look somewhat smooth, each frame would have to be taken with a slow shutter time, making motions blurry.

Compare 24 fps with 60 fps and you'll see that 24 fps simply is not adequate, period.

  • You don't know shit about video. 24FPS is what gives the cinematic effect. It doesn't make motion blurry, only choppy. Film makers do this deliberately.

  • You're very wrong. I've experimented with 24 and 60 fps, and 60 fps is needed in order to get true smooth motion without having to blur things.

It's really you that doesn't know shit about video.

The only reason we're seeing 24 fps is because of cost, and decisions made nearly 100 years ago.

Look it up. Even James Cameron agrees with me.

  • You are right when you said that 60fps is needed in order to get true smooth motion. I completely agree. However, I never said that 24fps gives you true smooth motion. What I meant is that 24fps is enough to give the illusion of motion and is the motor on those expensive Arriflex cameras are deliberately set to frame rates around 24fps when shooting movies, which is why Nikon calls it Cinematic D-Movie mode.

  • There is this whole bullshit branding around 24fps. "Cinematic". wooptydoo. It sucks.

  • Too bad for you. I find it useful.

  • 60fps is still much smoother than 24fps.

  • Now before you barf up more religious film zealot antiquated bullshit, check out the Wikipedia page on Frame_rate and also the page on Showscan.

"dramatically smoother and more realistic in its rendering of motion"

The stupid pathetic 24fps film cult must end. But, the cost is too high, and there are too many ignorant fools clinging to it.

    ....

    victory is mine

    ...

  • Pull of the plastic film on the lcd cover ffs!

  • What type of Nikon camera would be good for a beginner photographer like myself? I;m almost 18 and loves taking pictures. I hear Nikon is like the "God" of cameras. Please respond.

  • The best camera for you to get would be the Nikon D40, that would be the right camera for to get it's good for people who are learning...

  • I'd say a Nikon D40 or Nikon D60. I just recently upgraded from a D40x (which has been replaced by D60) to a D90 and although I do love the D90 dearly, the D40/D60 are in some aspects easier to use and therefore an excellent beginners camera. Also, as a beginner, you probably wont use the more advanced features of the D90.

  • Depends on what you're thinking of doing with your photopraphy. If you want to excel in it then the D80/90 would be great since they are both semi-pro great quality cameras. Yes people say that D40 would be better for beginners, it's easier to use but any camera is with practice. If you choose the D40 by the time you decide to upgrade, the D90 would have dropped in price and maybe some better cameras out so there is still a reason to choose the D40.

  • it depends on your budget.

  • Take a hike.

  • I bought the D300 because of the better AF system and because I thought it would be more durable. #1 , shutter life . 150,000 rated for the D300 , 100,000 for the D90 ..

#2 , memmory . CF cards , as compared to SD cards . Much faster transfer rate , and more storage. D300 100% viewfinder coverage

AF. MLU, 10 pin and PC Sync ports, larger buffer, 14 bit files, and ability to meter with non-chipped lenses (such as older AIS lenses and the PC-E lenses).

  • I wanted one so bad. However, the D90 takes pictures that look just as good, so I am settling for that. The build quality of the d300 is better and it has a few features that rock such as 51 pt af, and it takes cf cards and of COURSE the 100% view finder. You are lucky!!! Enjoy.

  • I use the Nikon 2.8/F pro lens so the bild quilty is better around the rings to support hever lens.

  • Love that little baby.I will get one after chritmas.

  • yea numan if you waant to film a video you just press the OK button. im getting one of these for christmas!! so hyped!!!

  • Same Here man!! I can't wait. We ordered it and its been sitting in the living room for 5 days now. And im not allowed to open it. Only one more day

  • Thanks for the video. I´m going to buy one, but I have a doubt... Does that kit (or the body-only) comes with memory stick already?

    Thanks!

  • does any of you know how to go to video mode.. I could not record video with it yet.

  • In the live video mode (press the Lv button above the arrows) and then press OK (center of arrows) to start filming.
