  • :47, "wow, he's f*cked. Back to the watering hole

  • They should have Utahraptors and Allosaurus

  • Utahraptor = Mormon Hunter

  • The two dislikes were Iguanodons.

HOW THE HELL DID THEY USE THE KEYBOARDS WITH FREAKING SPIKES?

  • Was this the largest Raptor? If not, which one is?

  • @MrFlibiddyJib When they made jurassic park, deinonychus was called velociraptor, and the size issue was just artistic licence

  • 0:39 NOOOOOOOOOO

  • Well..... In Utah long years Ago They Roamed in Utah Thats Where They got Thier Names!!!

  • Im interested in Dinosaurs and this Utahraptors seems like one of the greatest i know!

A bigger version of the velociraptor and without the stupid feathers! Awesome!

I dont like Dinos with feathers!

  • Utahraptor.. is my favorite dinosaur 'raptor' *C*

  • @konjunktion26 You obviously didn't study well enough then.. Because Utahraptor and Deinonychus are quite different in size. Deinonychus on average is roughly 2'10" while Utahraptor is about twice the height.

  • @konjunktion26 I recommend you don't debate with me. Your point is invalid, you contradict yourself. While it is true that I am a human like all other humans, that is our race. We are divided by nationality, White, Black, Asian, Arabian, etc. House cats are felines, feline are separated by breed just as humans are by culture. You can't call a lion a house cat; You can't call Utahraptor a Deinonychus. Doing so is like calling all cats of different breeds, the same breed. Please learn Zoology.

  • @konjunktion26 Right, sure you are.. You just don't like to admit when you're wrong. Its ok, everyone is wrong sometimes. And we all like to pretend we're things we aren't. Its fun to have a little escape from reality to keep our sanity in tact. There is no point in continuing this little quarrel, anyone willing to do the research will easily debunk your statements ^^

  • This is a segment from "Walking with Dinosaurs" talking about the late Jurassic of Europe. Utahraptor was from Utah of North America and those lived in the early Cretaceous.

  • nicely done Utahraptor!!!

  • Why have you taken out the awesome background music?!

  • wheres this from?

  • @Kthao091 This is from BBC Walking with Dinosaurs :)

  • @Benisjammin11 which episode?

  • UTAHRAPTOR is soooooooooooo awesome!

  • Alpha Male: That's it boys! DROP THE BASTARD!!!

  • @jaridb86 How do you know that wasn't the Alpha Male?

  • The raptors in JP were Velociraptors but they were genetically engineered and made larger than they were supposed to be. All of the dinos in JP appeared slightly overexaggerated in size.

  • if they were utahraptors there all females :P

  • There should be a dinosaur simulation game where you can play as a Utahraptor or deinonychus. It would be just like Wolf Quest! Whos with me!?

  • @SilverCreature1190 With quests based on Raptor Red.

  • Wow, this shows better without the Commentary

  • Didn't this part have that awesome drum music playing in the background?

  • I love how the other iguanodon are like "well sucks to be him" and walk away

  • very good DINOSSAURS

  • as shown in the video, raptors like this could have used their sickle claws for "climbing prey" and bite them in the neck. I'm glad that the iguanodon didn't die like the cow in Jurassic Park.

  • I like to draw this all the time: A pack of Utahraptor in combat with a T-rex. I draw Utahraptor half the size of the T-rex. :)

  • @GodzillaHeisei

Utahraptor was about 6' tall, t-rex was about 13' at the hips. Height is one measure but the mass would have made a huge difference.

  • Bestagee!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • que mal si el audio y con la cancion se sentia mas la emocin de la caza

  • at :48 ohhh no! He's done for. Oh well, back to the lake

  • 0:38 did it just say dada? XD

  • i thought the jurrasic park raptors were actually Deinonychus but the author m c decided it would be easier to call them raptors and that it would sound cooler

  • The jurassic park Velociraptors are actually Utahraptors and i never heard of Mega-raptor but that would be awsome if there was one!!!! lolz Any who the Jurassic park creators wanted a raptor taller than a human and they were going to not use raptors untill they found out that raptors could actually get up to... er i think its 7 feet or 6 ten is the hight they get up too.... i forget any way they found a raptor big enough to where they r taller than humans lolz

  • lol.. right! 1991 was when the first Utahraptor was discovered... so JP was already in the making process and not much was known about the Utah's. When I discovered that there really was a raptor to match to exaggerated Jurassic Park raptors, I was suprised. Utahraptors did reach almost 7ft. Awesome species. ^^

  • you mean "awesome genus"

  • Actually the JP raptors were Deinonychus.

  • @Trainfanatic192 Yes, that's why they called them VELOCIRAPTORS.

  • Deinonychus is awesome!!!

  • @Trainfanatic192

True, if they had feathers it would be very realistic !

  • @Trainfanatic192 They were actualy more like Utah raptors.

  • @Trainfanatic192 Or the JP Raptors could be (not based on the book, of course) Utahraptors. They were in fact 6 ft tall, like the raptors in JP.

  • @Trainfanatic192 it says that back when JP was new they didnt relice the size of a velociraptor and when people started questioning them. a newly discovered utah raptor was there back up answer for the size.

  • @Trainfanatic192 no they weren't

  • No they are based off of deinonychus. They just wanted to make them bigger to make the movie better

  • @NarugaVSTigarex Yes. Richard Bakker mentions this in the intro to Raptor Red and tells how the Jurassic Park producers were complaining that Spielberg was not happy with the size of deinonychus and wanted something bigger.

  • megaraptor was probably a spinosauroid.

  • Nope its an Allosaur

  • yes it is, a Neovenatorid, precisely, however, no one did know this 2 months ago!!!!

  • @HEATofEAST92 no it was a ceratosaurid o some thing.

  • megaraptor was not a dromaeosaur

  • @JurassicRaptorLuver

Actually, this statement is false.. You see, the "velociraptors" were automatically set to be in the movie from day one, because they played an ideal part in the novel, which by the way is far superior to the movie in my opinion excluding the fact they refer to the dinosaurs as reptiles.. They're most likely of Avian ancestry. They were made larger to seem like a much stronger and greater threat, its more scary to be chased by something larger and tougher.

  • @DarkOmicron I don't know. A 150 pound deinonychus could still take you down.

  • @dixievfd55 I'm aware of that, just a small number of Procompsognathus could probably take out the average adult human. That isn't the point.. What is more terrifying to you? Being chased and hunted by something roughly half your height, that you could hit with a heavy stick and possibly cripple? Or something your height or bigger that can possibly shrug off being hit with a metal baseball bat? The Velociraptors were made larger to seem more scary and threatening.

  • 0:30 the herbivore said blah blah blah

  • I could be mistaken on the height of Mega-raptor but I am sure it would be a great match.

  • I wish they would find the remainder of the biggest raptor of all: Mega-raptor. So far they have only found a claw but the projected size is believed to be larger than a T-rex.

  • It's not a raptor. Its been realised that it probably belongs to the same family as allosaurus, or the family of Spinosaurus. I forgot :/

And it's not as big as a tyrannosaurus.

  • The Iguanadon should've reared up und purposly fell on it's side, that would've crushed one raptor and broken the other's foot.

  • and hand.

  • Been watching Jurassic Fight Club, eh? ;)

  • Yep, but I thought of this before I'd heard of Jurassic Fight Club. Iguanadon wasn't smart enough to form such a plan, of course instinct might have told to defend itself that way, while vigorously kicking and trying to get up as quick as possible to stop the other raptors from striking it's belly, forming an aggressive and instinctual yet efficient form of defense and escape. Yet, at best this is questionable. As Iguanadon was an animal that relied on numbers for defense.

  • If an Iguanadon herd member was split off It would be dead meat if it did not have a defense strategy, instictual or strategical, the latter being less likely.

  • jurassic fght club is gwd.

  • Yup it is, but some of it's facts are exaggerated. Like raptor blood lust.

  • @LeftSock06 The first rule of Jurrassic Fight Club is, you do not talk about Jurassic Fight Club !

  • utahraptors dont hunt in packs.. or do they?

  • They do. Most raptors hunt in packs and have highly developed brains for doing so (if they didn't do this, their relatively small size would become a problem in hunting prey.) Utahraptors were massive raptors, but even larger carnivores like Albertosaurus hunted in packs.

  • they were about as intelligent as abigcat so they probably would hunt like lions and strategysing

  • Actually, considering size and the climate of the area where they are found, it is believed Utahraptors were solo hunters. It's a 6ft tall perfect killing machine, so the only 'pack' I can see it having is a mating pair.

  • I don't know. They may be pack hunters and solitary depending on what suits them at a time like Allosaurus

  • my guess is that raptors lived in mating pairs and occaisionally hunted larger prey in groups.

  • Man, I am fascinated with dinosaurs and other ancient animals. If you went back in time it would be like being on an alien world. There would be very different looking plants and animals that we have never seen before.

  • velociraptors from jurrasic park were actually ment to be utarraptors but the producers hence the size velocoraptors are much smaller they are about a 6ft mans chest hight

  • they were deinonychus utahraptor was twice as big

  • ...hmmmmm 1 t-rex vs a small pack of utah raptors? who would win?

  • the Utahraptors! :P

  • hmm hard to say depends if the rex see's them coming it could og either way

  • Tyrannosaurus. Raptors wouldnt touch Rexy :)

  • unless theres like 6 of em

  • No, not against a fully grown Rex. in dino terms, Utahraptor is still pretty small.

  • What is interesting is that sometime after Wlaking with dinisaurs was made it was discovered that Utahraptores had feathers.

  • buh-BYE

  • down and out

  • owned

  • What a meat-grinder... Off-Road Velociraptor Safari puts this to shame by a long shot :P

  • utah raptors kick ass i reckon this skin suits them

  • Look at the wikipedia entry for utahraptor. The picture is quite different. I wonder what they really looked like?

  • yeah the jurassic park raptors are nearly as big as the utahraptor in that diagram, bigger than deinonychus and WAY bigger than an actual velociraptor.

  • Yah, real Velociraptor is more like 3 feet.

    It'd make a nice pet :P

  • i think Dr Grant got confused and sayed velociraptor instead of utharaptor because in this vid it looks like velociraptors from JP

  • Actually the ones in Jurassic Park are deinonychus. The actual velociraptor is no bigger than a turkey.

  • and it should be noted that Deinonychus being called "Velociraptor" is because the Deinonychus is considered a species of Velociraptor. It's more than just one dinosaur, it's a whole species/subspecies of Raptor.

  • actually, the raptors in jurassic park are suposed to be velociraptor. But you're right, they should have been deinonycus, or dromeosaurus

  • @penrilfake I didn't know turkey were three foot tall..

  • ain't that walkin' with dinosaurs?

  • yes it is i would know i own it lol walking with dinosaurs very great movie i would recommend it

  • utah raptors rule!

  • =-)
