What random chaos? Evolution works through natural selection. Mutation can be random but mutation is only a step in evolution, if a change is good for a species it will have better survival odds, and reproduce more then others. If a change is bad it has the opposite effect. So though there is an element of randomness in it, by natural selection the randomness is weeded out of the equation. Thats why when you look at evolution it follows logical rules.

Most non believers have always been and always will be tolerant and good towards other ppl despite the stereotype that non believers have no morals. In Norman, OK, we were studying this case in our AP Government class. The entire class of mostly juniors and seniors in high school were SHOCKED and appalled that this happened. Not everybody in Oklahoma comes from an intolerant, bible-beating family. The separation of the church and the state is LAW, and must be abided by.

What random chaos? Evolution works through natural selection. Mutation can be random but mutation is only a step in evolution, if a change is good for a species it will have better survival odds, and reproduce more then others. If a change is bad it has the opposite effect. So though there is an element of randomness in it, by natural selection the randomness is weeded out of the equation. Thats why when you look at evolution it follows logical rules.

Most non believers have always been and always will be tolerant and good towards other ppl despite the stereotype that non believers have no morals. Religion is too warped to do much good in the world. Unfortunately, situations like this need to be seen often enough by the public so that stereotype has a chance of disappearing.

You know, I'm a Christian from a rural area and I do have to say that the hardest thing for me is actually finding a church with other Christians like me. Rural areas tend to have a fundie element about them and I happen to feel that Jesus wouldn't like fundemental Christianity very much.
I don't feel that prayer should be pushed OR taken away. Let those who want to pray, pray. Those who don't should be shown the same kind of respect Christians expect toward their beliefs.

In the middle of a school event it is wrong. it endorses one religion or sect over others . We all pay taxes. So our schools should NOT be parties to any religion. For it causes resentment and forces those who wish to paricipate in sports to pray or pay. I assure u Nicole has payed a very dear price. The other danger is that this fanatisisim infected the school system, courts , law enforcement. The sickness is still here.

Did you even read my comment? Clearly I'm an atheist! Everything you said about the justice department is illegal on its own regardless if they do it to an atheist or theist. Not to say it doesn't happen but it's already illegal. Religions are ideas and should be treated as such. If in a job interview I said I believe that Elvis is still alive the company most likely will not hire me because my belief shows I'm crazy. Why should religious beliefs be exempt from being criticized?

In Norman, OK, we were studying this case in our AP Government class. The entire class of mostly juniors and seniors in high school were SHOCKED and appalled that this happened. Not everybody in Oklahoma comes from an intolerant, bible-beating family. The separation of the church and the state is LAW, and must be abided by.

I wouldn't have thought things like this would happen. I mean I'm atheist, and many of my friends are, some are agnostic and I have friends who have different religions too. But it doesn't affect the way we think of each other! That's the way it should be - belief or lack there of doesn't make a person bad or good.
