no... i'm currently agnostic, I have some reasons that I dislike religions but I don't hate them. I'm currently trying to learn more about them but one thing I really don't like it how people of religion turn's a blind eye to the history of their own religion and then change the text of the teachings then ignore past people of that religion and say they weren't really part of it. yes, religion is a beautiful thing. Makes people happy to feel like they are always loved, never alone, and always have someone who is all powerful and all knowing and everywhere all the time, to watch over him/her and everyone he/she loves. great for socializing, great for meditating, and great for self discipline to achieve harmony within one self. Takes the fear of death and makes life seem fair, or better than fair, and doesn't end. it's great, just don't hurt anyone while your at it. =]

i personally am religous and scientific. this is what i think : God created things of this world and scientist study things to explain why certain things occured of this world. Sure there may be condradictions in what scientist say and what religous books (i am muslim so in my case the Quran) . I think science and religion stand side by side. By the way God probably created the first stages of life so they would evolve.

Theone in 1,000,000^1,000,000 chance that an explosion of gases in space could have created a single simple organism, not to mention millions of complex organisms, aside... you still have to answer the question of where the gases came from. @ messedup, to augment your argument, science itself dictates that something from nothing is physically impossible. By that argument alone, science defeats its own Big Bang theory. Theone in 1,000,000^1,000,000 chance that an explosion of gases in space could have created a single simple organism, not to mention millions of complex organisms, aside... you still have to answer the question of where the gases came from. Time hasn't been forever. There had to be a starting point. What started it?

Yes, the brain cells will deteriorate and there will be darkness. Humans stay on earth, they don't go to "hell" or "heaven" BUT god is real, since all the components of the human body come from "dust" as stated from the bible, and the rib bone is the only thing that regrows itself, HENCE the adam and eve thing.
