Personally, I feel that it's a 60/40 split. The mother has to carry the child for nine months, all the while putting up with side effects from the pregnancy like morning sickness- and on top of that, there are always chances of serious complications arising. The father ultimately gets to decide how much work he will put into raising it, leaving the mother to the rest. He also has the opportunity to run off and leave his kid with its mother, like my idiot father did. Thus my reasoning. :)
