  • the one in the yellow pants has an ass to die for!!!

  • Amateur night, turned manic! You'd never have choreography like that today. Obviously designed for film, and analogue sound. (like me!!)

  • This vidoe is a HOOT!!! The reason is B/C ppl used to actually dress like that in the 60's!!! LOL!!!

  • This is great! He used to be one of my my Mom's favourite. Hysterical video. I love the hair. Perfect vacation music for her trip to Cabo and San Diego.

  • yeah, we see your underwear....enough all ready!

  • am i the only 1 being turned on by these girlsss lol

  • I was 10 years old when my parents used to stack the stereo with all 10 or 11 of their Herb Alpert LP's - yep vinyl! I thought I was dying every Sunday morning when I used to have to do housework to this stuff - now at 53 - all it does is bring back great memories - and this was probably my fav! :)

  • excellent mexican casino music!!!!MM

  • hoooooooonnnnnk! 2:03

  • LOL rvrcitygrl...LOL

  • Those were good videos! They used a simple cab and a lot of drugged people dancing!

  • Holy Sixties Batman!

  • No way. I am not getting into a Tijuana Taxi. That's how Barry Sadler died, I don't want to go the same way. Good song though. I will not get into a mexican taxi. No thank you, I'm American. Any taxi I get into will be built in the USA or a cheap manufactured-by-a-3-year-old look-alike made in Thailand.

  • @jonvincent12 Barry Sadler was killed in a taxi in Guatamala City, not Tijuana, Mexico. And the fact that it was a taxi is immaterial, he was killed by a gunshot to the head, not an accident by a poorly maintained vehicle.

  • I seem to remember this song being in one of the Herbie movies, can someone let me know if I am losing my mind or am I still sane.

  • @SBTheWriter Ah, the 60s - when white people where flying to the Moon and back ;-)

  • Anytime I need to just feel ridiculous, I come watch this. its priceless.

  • Remember it from a "King of Queens" episode. Arthur had this record, and Carrie broke it years before, but I believe she replaced at the end of the show. She got it right the first time! My parents had this record, and others by Alpert. Probably the most plastic sound I`ve ever heard. In other words, I couldn`t stand `em!

  • NO ESTA MAL CONOCER MAS SOBRE MELODÍAS TAN FAMILIARES JAJAJA

  • Ah, the 60s - when dancing was EASY for white people. D:

  • @SBTheWriter You are just rude! This was easy for everyone to dance to! In fact, my school did a gymnastics performance to only Herb's music and no, it was not only whites!

  • That one dark haired girl in the red skirt, predated the "dorothy hamill" hairdo by about 10 years.

  • COME ON YOU O's !

    This is our signature tune,

It makes the hairs on the back of your neck stick up!

  • Loved this song as a kid in the 60's. I'd fling myself around the front room and yell "HONK" on cue. Parents got a big laugh out of it until I tumbled into a lamp and took out some knicknacks. Whoops--HONK!"

  • I loved this a kid, now I love this as a grownup. Probably for the same reasons

  • @DampRabbitVideo What's not to love? It's a simple, fun, memorable, and timeless tune by a talented artist. Also, it sounds like it would make a great soundtrack to a comedy movie...

  • Is that the old San Diego?

  • The dance move at 1:31 by the two girls on the balcony blew my mind.

  • Who wouldn't love this video. Party party!!

  • 0:13 i saw her pants XD

  • Looks like a 1960s Girls Gone Wild. Lots of underpants being flashed.

  • These are nice chicks. The only anorexic alive then was Twiggy.

  • Cute chicks dancing with gay guys. Nice!

  • I used to dance around the living room to this when I was 3....I'm 38 now...hehe....:)

  • I wanna drink a margarita in Acapulco while this song is playing XD

  • Hello!

  • @Fersomling Hi!

  • love the use of ponchos and skin tight polyester jazz pants on the men. nice touch.

  • .. my gaga.

  • I'm mimicking this corny dance in my living room....j/k

  • I live in Tijuana and i have never seen the USA people dance like that when they come over, and def no taxis like that!!!!.... thats really funny... you guys dont think that Tijuana is like that rigth?

  • @BOYELECTRO Nope, Just good Hollywood fun.....:)

  • reminds me of the "El Matador" velvet framed paintings of my kid-hood lol

  • And not a fat broad in sight! This was back when people used to dance and exercise instead of sitting there pushing buttons on the latest hand-held gaget...and no unsightly tats either!

  • All I think when I hear this is "Manchester Traffic Bollards" ha ha ha

  • my house was filled with herb alpert music during the sixties...i miss that

  • i love the song but when was that made?

  • I've known this melody and the 'Spanish Flea' main melody for years and years....never knew they were from the same awesome guy!!

  • when i´m in a bad mood i just have to watch this video and everything´s okay :D

  • 60年代に良く聞きました^^

  • crazy stuff is going on!

  • This song reminds me of an elevator.

  • someone please help these beautiful epileptic women!

  • When the americans was good people, with the mexicans, Traduccion; cuando los americanos eran buena onda con los mexicanos...Que pena que ya no es asi ahora lo que reyna es la intolerancia.

  • Fantastic. I remember this video from when I was a kid - the local TV station used to play it as a fill-in between programs.

  • dear me...wish i'd been one of the gals there...LOL!

  • i want this to play at my funeral! with my friends as them dancers.

  • @koemer My band just did an updated version of this song that you'll probably like. Check out our video and if you know in advance, we'd be happy to play at your funeral. We are looking for gigs and plan to start playing out soon (if Jim's mom lets us use her mini-van).

  • @koemer

    best. comment. ever.

  • @koemer i prefere ding dong the witch is dead ;)

  • up the o's

  • I think it was Spanish Flea on the flip side of the Tijuana Taxi.

  • Great song! Do you know what's on the flip side of the 45 this was on?

  • Also remember this was way before MTV...Panties are cute also, and women used to wear dresses, but not today, they where jeans

  • Wow! Must try some of those moves!!!!

  • Wow, funny and cute---take me back when life was nicer, and people where nicer

  • And girls wore panties under their clothes.

  • @rvrcitygrl

Ahh! You Noticed. This isn't my "X"{ huband is it? LOL!!!

  • @rvrcitygrl nicer for YOU maybe. heh

  • @rvrcitygrl "Down with panties!"

  • @markmartin6sc yeah....and LSD was free and plentiful, by the video obviously. LMAO!

  • @markmartin6sc haha lol no such thing every mexican that lived in that village was ran out just to make this video lol.it wa ten times racist then then ther ever waz now

  • @markmartin6sc

Man, that's exactly what I was thinking! Amen. And, the music was better!

  • @markmartin6sc And where racism and sexism prevailed? Sure.

  • @tikku77andahalf - First where you there? Second why all the hate? So today is better in america? Nothing is every perfect. One day when you get older and wiser, you will understand this....please take care of yourself, and I hope you can make a more positive statement next time....(that is now open with a defensive responed-watch)

  • @tikku77 don't generalize an entire era & group of ppl based upon a few undesireables & ridiculous behavior that occured then. it still happens today, if not worse. do not prejudge with prejudice a time that you do not understand or have a biased feeling about. you obviously know very little of the past. enjoy & stop being ignorant.

  • @tikku77andahalf btw why are you here searching for a confrontation to express your warped beliefs?

  • @JRussoBuffaloNY I'm a person on Youtube posting a comment.

  • @tikku77andahalf yes indeed, a nonsensical one.

  • Mexico, '60s, geez I was born about 12 years too late!

  • Sorry, it's Olvera Street, a reflection of Old Los Angeles, and a tourist trap(all shops, a catherdral, and several eateries near several more famous eateries like Phillipe's, in Downtown Los Angeles, California. All those places shown are now as they were then, so if you ever come this way just get off one of the trains that go to Union Station and you are a block away from all the excitement....

  • Anybody know if they still play this at Leyton Orient. Possible the greatest tune of all time !!

  • *Honk*

  • Mexico looks cool

  • They always play this before ireland soccor matches FTW

  • We started this in our nad and OMG so much fun!!!!!

  • holy shit

  • guess Im a square, but I thought this was really a good video, considering that this wa in the 60's.,long b4 MTV,fake gold teeth, and pants hanging off ur butt!

So to the ppl who had rude remarks to say,,"one of these ppl might be one of your grandparents"

  • Comment removed

  • thisis nasty

  • The tune is great, (All of Alpert's are), but the goofs here in the vid are idiotic.

  • In 1966 I was 13 and Herb Alpert's was the first record album I bought. My ultra conservative parents said, "uhhhhh,..... ok", ...and then the next record I bought was Rolling Stones. Uh, not OK. And I was out of control ever after. Anyway, it brings back memories.

  • Song from the Dating Game ?

  • That would be another Alpert tune "Spanish Flea".

BTW, do a youtube search for Arnold Schwarzeneggar (sp?) and Dating Game. You will see him on the show and hear the theme all in the same vid

  • 0:28 is about the gayest thing ever recorded.

  • Count me in.

  • Not that there's anything wrong with that...

  • it was the 60's smartass.

  • Oh, behave. Yeah, Baby!

  • this song reminds me of the king of queens where arthur dances to it

  • I love this song

    bye

  • This must be pooped.

  • it looks like a benny hill skit gone bad...

  • Is this an original Herb Alpert & The TJB video? Was it actually filmed in LA?

  • Maybe shot at Olvera St , downtown LA ?

  • Tijuana Taxi had a loud horn. No mistaking that sound.

  • My god, it makes me wanna pack up and move to Acapulco. Brilliant.

  • yeah, i had a clown horn like this one and honked it so many times it finally fell apart, but still love that classic sound!

  • great song i am work fo clown !!!! XD bolivian

  • ahahahahahahah what's a dance xD

  • i listen to this when i am sad. it makes my day happy.

  • HONK!!!!!! ^_^

  • BTW, this is actually one of the Scopitones and was filmed in 1965. It was filmed around the sametime as the Scopitones for Jody Miller's "Queen Of The House" & George McKelvey's "My Teenage Fallout Queen" (I think this is much more superior for the exterior location sequencing and the dancing -- although I'm not fond of Herb Alpert & The The Tijuana Brass not showing up in the vid). For some reason this Scopitone lost it's introduction title sequence.

  • TOOOOOT

  • wonderful!! adorable and goofy! much better than the horse racing version.

  • I love this video... it's just goddamned goofy. Obviously the result of a lot of Tijuana Tequila.

  • Ah yes, Herb Alpert and the Marijuana Grass.

  • Hahahahaha

  • this is absolutely hilarious.

  • i love this song

  • This is a funny music video. And the hot blonde girl sitting on the bench looks like she just farted when she holds her nose and fans the air with her other hand....LOL.
